 Five years into the future, a freshly shot patient gets rushed to the hospital in which Caroline works, who surprising turns out to be her ex-husband, Richard. Love really does bloom in unexpected situations and Richard ends up falling for Caroline harder than he ever thought possible, realizing that he could never let her go this time, especially now that he knew she had beared him a son.

A Second  Chance At Forever

I opened my eyes and shut it right back. This can't be real. Where was I?

I opened my eyes again as I looked around, taking in my environment that doesn't seem familiar. I was on the floor in a dark room but with a single light shining down on me just enough to see the centre of the room and not the whole room.

I looked around with fear gripping my whole but there was not a single thing in sight, not even an object.

"Hello. Anybody there?" I called out and the only response I got was my voice which echoed and travelled throughout the room.

"Hello!" I called out again as I stood to my feet and the same effect resonated again.

I looked all around as I trembled but still managed to keep my stance. Suddenly, I heard a voice. I paid attention well to hear perfectly the voice only to make out that it was my mum's.

"Mum?" I called out happily as I made a move to go to her but I was stopped by an invisible wall.
