Assassins

"Alright, let's get going, shall we?" Dorian suggested. "Let the pig be!"

Dorian and Luna shared a look, and giggled. Diana waved goodbye to them as Damian's face turned red with anger.

"Did that fucker just call me a pig?!" Damian shouted enough to be heard from the outside. Dorian and Luna giggled and continued towards their destination. As soon as they reached the forest, the sound of wolves filled the air.

"Stay behind me," Dorian commanded sternly. Luna obeyed his command and prepared herself to use spells. The two of them were ready to fight whoever came at them. Soon two giant men in black robes stepped out of the dark mist.

"Would you look at that? It's Dorian!" one of the men sneered. His eyes narrowed dangerously.

"Hurry and kill us before we change our mind and make you regret ever coming to this forest." Dorian scoffed arrogantly. "I don't regret doing what is necessary. And it is not like anyone will miss you anyways."

One of the men lunged at Dorian. Luna moved forward quickly and slashed the side of his throat with her palm. Blood sprayed everywhere as his body slumped to the ground. The other was killed by Dorian almost immediately after.

"I am impressed," Dorian praised Luna, "Who would have thought you had this in you?"

Luna nodded eagerly and readied herself to cast another spell.

"Not so fast." A new voice stopped her in her tracks. Both looked at the source to see Diana approaching them. "Hello, stranger," Luna greeted politely with a small smile. A man smiled in return. "Hey, what happened here?"

Dorian glared at the stranger. "Where did you come from?"

The suspicious person noticed two dead bodies of his comrades. Dorian's scythe and Luna's palm were bloody.

"What happened here?" He looked at the two corpses in confusion before turning back to Luna.

"So stranger, are they your friends?" Luna asked, glaring at the man. Diana glanced away before replying. "Uh..." The person avoided eye contact as he rubbed his arm.

"Are they your friends?" Dorian repeated the question, raising an eyebrow.

The man gulped and glanced back at the corpse. "These guys aren't my friends."

Dorian blinked several times, unable to process what was so hard about the question.

"...was that so hard to answer?" Dorian asked.

The man shrugged as the two people in front of them scared him. The scariest was Luna, who could slit a man's throat without any weapon.

"Tsk. "Dorian clenched his jaw and walked closer to the man.

"Who the fuck are you?" He trembled. "You can't be Dorian!"

"Well, we should introduce ourselves to each other," Dorian started as he put his finger under Luna's chin to raise her head. "My name's Dorian Noah, I'm 18 years old, and my hobby is playing video games. However, occasionally I prefer reading books. At the moment, I am a slave in a Whiteflow's house."

"Huh? Luna got startled for a moment. "What is he talking about?"

Dorian smirked and walked toward the man. "My favorite alcoholic beverage used to be red wine. However, after trying out this world's whiskey, I might never drink wine again. Haha!~"

"Dorian! Stop talking! He doesn't have to know all this!"

"But why?" Dorian slashed the scythe horizontally across the man's chest and cut him cleanly. Blood spurted out of the wound and covered the front of the shirt. "He is not going to tell this to anyone."

"Tsk. Not even enough for one level."

"Now, what do we do?" Luna wondered aloud as she wiped off the blood on her hand with her dress. "I need a fucking shower!"

"You can wash up you when we kill these fools," Dorian stated. They both stood in silence, listening to the sound of the beasts in the woods. A loud growl came from a distance.

"That sounds familiar," Luna muttered. "Are those poisonous wolves?"

"No," Damian disagreed. "That noise is way too big."

Dorian and Luna exchanged giggles before running towards the noise, preparing for a fight. They reached the source of the growling to find two giant wolves fighting over the remains of two human warriors. They charged forwards, killing the wolves instantly. However, they were surprised by two more wolves appearing out of nowhere and attacking the duo mercilessly. However, Dorian chanted a fire defense spell.

𝕭𝖚𝖗𝖓 𝖇𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙𝖑𝖞 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓 𝖒𝖊, 𝖇𝖚𝖙 𝖉𝖔 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖘𝖕𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖘𝖊 𝖜𝖍𝖔 𝖜𝖆𝖓𝖙 𝖒𝖞 𝖉𝖊𝖘𝖙𝖗𝖚𝖈𝖙𝖎𝖔𝖓. 𝕳𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗, 𝖍𝖆𝖛𝖊 𝖒𝖊𝖗𝖈𝖞 𝖔𝖓 𝖒𝖊.

Luna's expression changed to surprise as her eyes widened. Her mouth dropped open as a smile appeared on her lips. She knew what Dorian was about to do, so she dematerialized.

𝕴𝖌𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖊!

Dorian's fire used more than half of his mana. A massive explosion erupted outwards, and the two wolves disappeared. Dorian took a deep breath before casting the mana-gathering spell.

𝕾𝖕𝖎𝖗𝖎𝖙𝖘 𝖔𝖋 𝖜𝖆𝖙𝖊𝖗, 𝖋𝖎𝖗𝖊, 𝖊𝖆𝖗𝖙𝖍, 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖆𝖎𝖗, 𝖘𝖚𝖗𝖗𝖊𝖓𝖉𝖊𝖗 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖕𝖔𝖜𝖊𝖗 𝖙𝖔 𝖒𝖊. 𝕴𝖙 𝖔𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖒𝖆𝖙𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖘 𝖎𝖋 𝕴 𝖙𝖆𝖐𝖊 𝖔𝖓 𝖆 𝖑𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖑𝖊 𝖇𝖎𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖊𝖓𝖊𝖗𝖌𝖞.

And when he had his all mana back, he repeated the fire spell.

𝕴𝖌𝖓𝖎𝖙𝖊!

The fire burst forth once again and engulfed the area. A few seconds later, not even the ashes of wolves remained. Before Dorian passed out of pain, he was surprised that the trees managed to stay intact. But he didn't care much. What was important was that his work was complete. When he woke up later that day, he found himself in a room dressed in different clothing. His wounds were healed. He couldn't remember how, but he assumed it was Luna. He got up out of bed and went to look for Sara.
