"How do you feel, Dorian?" Luna materialized in front of him. Her elfish ears twitched

and a smile crept across her face. "I'm quite fine, thank you very much," Dorian replied, not bothering to look at his new companion. He didn't need to; the bond told them everything they needed to know.

"Thanks for healing me." It was hard not to be grateful when his whole body felt better than he'd ever remembered, especially since he injured himself.

"It's no problem, Dorian. But please, don't let it happen again," she said with a wink. She walked beside him, and her golden hair moved like waves behind her.

"Luna, did Sara tell you anything about that magic academy?" Dorian asked curiously.

"Nah, she's been avoiding me ever since I threatened to destroy humanity." Dorian snorted. "That wouldn't be so bad if you got rid of people. It would be truly peaceful!"

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever, just come on. We're here." They approached an empty courtyard. There were few trees and grass, and the sky was clear.

"I thought we could train here. What do you think?" She looked up at him expectantly. He hesitated before finally answering. "Sure, why not." Luna smiled, then disappeared from view.

When she reappeared next to him, he could tell the training ground hadn't changed. A small stone ring sat nearby. Small rocks littered the floor. On top of the ring was a wooden plank with a piece of chalk attached to its surface. A basket sat nearby filled with various weapons, shields, armor, and various other items. Two large wooden poles hung above them, and one of them had a cloth suspended over it. "This is the practice field," Luna announced. "Pick your weapon." Dorian picked the one closest to him, which happened to be an axe. He looked around at all of the different types of weapons but found nothing exciting.

Dorian walked towards the center of the ring, where a dummy sat on a small platform. He pulled out a sword and examined it closely.

"Are you certain?" Luna questioned.

"No," he shrugged.

She raised an eyebrow. "Fair enough. Let's start. I enchanted the dummy so that it would fight back. Teehee!~"

He nodded, took off into a run, and swung the axe at the dummy. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to have any effect. "Try doing the same thing again," Luna observed him. He took another swing at the dummy and tried once again. This time the dummy managed to block him and

the axe flew out of Dorian's hands.

"Oh, goodie!" She giggled. "Now get ready to go easy on him!" After he'd gotten a grip on his anger, he attacked the dummy again. Again, this time the blade cut through the air. The dummy stood still while he circled around it several times and made a second pass at it. Once again, the axe flew from his hand, causing another round of hysterics from Luna. When he'd finished, Dorian panted heavily and sat down near her.

"I'm sorry, Dorian, but your style isn't good enough yet,"

"Oh yeah?!" Dorian glared at the dummy.

The dummy burst into flames and crumbled to dust. Luna's jaw dropped in shock, and Dorian giggled.

"What the fuck?! You're such a sore loser!" She threw a stick at him but missed him by mere inches. "

You're not too shabby yourself," he grinned. "We should spar sometime. Not in the ring, though. Maybe in bed?"

Luna blushed bright red and walked closer to Dorian. When she was right in front of him, she kicked him in the balls. Before he knew it, he was sprawled on the ground. "Ow! What did I do now?" He rubbed the bottom of his balls where he'd just received a painful kick.

"Sorry, I've been practicing my kicks!" Luna laughed. She crouched down to help Dorian up.

She hauled him up to his feet when he'd taken her proffered hand.

"Don't worry, though. I'll make sure to work on your reflexes more. Now we're going to keep going until you get the hang of this." "You sound like you've done this before," he teased. "Done what?"

"Sparring in bed." He waggled his eyebrows suggestively. Her cheeks burned redder than they already were, and she punched him lightly in the arm.

"Okay, okay!" Dorian held up his hands. "Just joking. We can keep going if you want."

She shook her head. "Next, we will work on your reflexes." Luna glared at Dorian and smirked. Suddenly she grabbed a sword. "I would advice you to pick a weapon!"

Dorian realized that this time Luna was angry, and he chuckled nervously before reaching for the shield.

"A shield?." Luna grinned and launched straight towards Dorian. "Should have picked a normal weapon!"

She landed squarely in his arms and sent him tumbling to the ground. Dorian groaned as he pushed himself up off of the ground. He glared at Luna, who looked utterly unapologetic about knocking the wind out of him.

"Nice try," she smirked. "But you won't beat me by using a fucking shield!" She tossed the shield aside and gave Dorian a couple of punches in the face. Dorian grunted and tried hitting back. However, Luna dodged the punches with ease, and she was starting to see that Dorian seemed to have trouble focusing during fights. Finally, when Dorian managed to hold her down, Luna kissed his lips. In a moment of surprise, he released her and received another kick in the balls. He fell backward onto the ground again. "Come on, Dorian! Don't you realize what a waste that shield was?"

"Yeah, well, you were making fun of my choice earlier! That makes it worse," he grumbled. Luna cocked her head at him as he rubbed the balls tenderly.

"Fine, whatever," she rolled her eyes. "Next time, we should do something more dangerous." She walked away from him, and her ears were twitching. Dorian got to his feet and brushed the dirt off him, picking up his discarded shield.

"She cheated! That's fucking cheating!"
