Kiarah looked around to find everything dark. She walked to the switchboard and turned on the lights. She looked around to find everything broken.

All the photo frames, vases, glass decorative items, everything was thrown onto ground and was broken in a disastrous way.

She hissed mentally and looked around for her brother and found him curled up in a corner, his hands wrapped around his legs as he was in foetal position, hisface ducked in between his knees.

She shut the door behind her as she walked to him and knelt down on her knees and sighed softly. She didn't know what to expect now. Either he was too angry or crying.

She kept her pal on his arm, shaking him lightly. He flinched and raised his head slowly and stared at her. her heart broke completely as she looked at him.

His eyes were red, tears were streaming down his cheeks and his knuckles were red, dark circles prominent under his eyes and his hairs messy.

His beard and moustache was grown up fully in a messy way. He looked like a total mess. A mess she never saw in him. the way he looked at her broke her heart more. His eyes searched for some warmth and love.

They were completely lost, like a kid who lost everything. All she could see in him was guilt and regret. He might look like a good and strong man to everyone but she knows how broken he is.

He looked like a dead soul as if life had been sucked out of him, he was no longer the man she knew. They looked so distant that she didn't know he was her brother anymore.

"Alden" She whispered slowly, tears brimmed in her eyes as she looked at her brother. He just hugged her tightly, almost jumping onto her and making her lose her balance.

She immediately kept her hand on a wall beside her and wrapped her hand around him. "I'm sorry" he mumbled, his voice completely breaking as bursted into tears, his heart feeling heavy.

She didn't know what he was sorry for but all she wanted was for him not to be like this. "It's fine" Kiarah mumbled as she hugged him back tightly and rubbed his back as he kept crying in her arms.

He cried in her arms while she kept silent because she understood that something might have happened with his little brother. If not, a man like him will never cry.

He was the one who held her whenever she cried and she knew he never cried until now. He always maintained his strict and cold hearted boss and she knew no one had seen him crying till now. Kelen was an exception of course. He lives with Alden more than Alden's shadow lies with him.

Kelen who ran behind her opened the door slowly in fear not knowing what to expect on the other side of the door but sighed when he saw Kiarah hugging him while he was crying. He knew Alden will be fine soon now. why not when he has a sister who takes care of him like his mother. He closed the door again and walked away with a small smile on his face.

Kiarah caressed his hair softly, waiting for him to stop crying but she knew that he wouldn't stop crying. She didn't know what made him cry like a baby. Alden is the definition of a cruel and Heartless Person.

She waited patiently until he stopped crying. His cries turned into sobs and it has been an hour till now. She was sure he'll fall ill if he keeps crying. She tried to break the hug but he didn't let her, hugging her tightly, scared that she'll push him away.

"I'm here and I love you brother" Kiarah mumbled, loud enough for him to hear but he didn't break the hug. "Let me see you please" Kiarah said as she felt something wet on her back and she hoped it's not what she thinks. She broke the hug and held his hand and brought it infront of her eyes and her eyes widened. He looked away, not meeting her eyes.

Blood. She left him immediately and ran to the night stand beside his bed and grabbed the first aid box and came back to him. She cried silently as she cleaned the blood with cotton as Alden kept staring at her, trying to believe that she is there.
