The Devil Beside Me

Countless reporters from different media outlets flocked to the entrance of the hospital. Due to the crowding, the hospital staff had to force them out of the hospital's grounds because they were blocking the driveway for the ambulance and people who truly needed their services.

In other words, they had to tighten the security to stop anyone from anyone sneaking in. Thus, it was hard to get in.

Jacques let out a deep exhale while sitting down on the bench in the corridor. When a cup of coffee appeared in front of her, she glanced up to see Maddison offering it to her.

"Thanks," said Jacques airily, accepting the cup of coffee. "I thought you were sick."

"I heard about the news." Maddison sat down beside Jacques with her own cup of coffee. "I rush in here when I heard about it."

"Are you alright?" Jacques inquired, glancing at Luca's personal assistant. "If you're sick, then you should rest as well."
