The sound of the mechanical heartbeat echoed in Xander's ears. Jacques asked Xander to leave nicely and sincerely, offering him the right exit paths so the media wouldn't catch him. However, even though Xander was willing to listen to her request, he made a last request. 

And that was to at least see her in the ICU. 

Luca was being monitored properly, and still couldn't receive any visitors. However, for some reason, they approved Xander's request with some restrictions. He could only see her through the transparent glass window, still wearing proper gear from head to toe. 

"Luca…" whispered Xander, placing a hand on the glass.
