Chapter 30 Dove

After a while, Morgan and Chrys reached a white aircraft parked in the middle of a flat piece of land that's surrounded by big, grey rocks.

"Did you leave it like that?" Chrys asked as he stared at the aircraft.

"No... maybe. I hurriedly ran towards the others when I saw Hela's signal. " Morgan said.

"I'm sorry. I let my emotions come over my rational thinking." Morgan apologized as she performed a little bow.

"Why are you apologizing?" Chrys asked.

Besides, everyone makes mistakes. It's fine. Chrys sighed.

Morgan gripped her bow slightly harder after she said those words.

"Hmm, as far as I can tell, there isn't anybody around." Chrys added.

Morgan nodded, and then both of them approached the aircraft carefully.

When they got close enough, Morgan pressed a button on the aircraft, which caused the side doors to open.

She took a step back for a moment, giving Chrys a blank look before heading in.

Meanwhile, Chrys went towards the back of the aircraft, inspecting the surroundings.

Suddenly, the back door of the aircraft opened, revealing Morgan standing inside. This caused a large gust to rush towards the inside of the aircraft.

"As far as I could tell, there's no sign of intrusion." Morgan reported.

"Can't say the same. There are footprints around the outside. " Chrys said.

"Do your soles maybe have stripes on them?"

Morgan lifted her foot and took a look. The soles of her shoes have a circular pattern on them. Morgan shook her head left and right.

"Hmm, check the equipment inside, and find out what they took." "Crys," he said, as he hoped on inside.

Morgan and Chrys then proceeded to search the inside of the aircraft for a few minutes.

"All good here, you?"

"No good. The core's missing. " Morgan answered.

"That is definitely not good. Did they take anything else? " Chrys asked again.

Morgan responded only with a left and right swing of her head.

"So what you're saying is that they only took quite possibly the most valuable part of the ship?" Chrys asked.

In response, Morgan just stared at him.

"It looks like we aren't just dealing with normal looters." Chrys said.

"It looks like they had a plan beforehand, and most importantly, they had a pretty good understanding of the ship itself." Chrys continued.

Morgan remained standing there with a blank stare. Then she suddenly spoke. "What do we do?" She asked.

"The only thing we can do is chase after them." We can follow their tracks. Chrys answered.

But, judging by how they only struck when you were busy, and the unusually sloppy footprints they left...

"They must be expecting us to follow." Morgan interrupted his sentence.

"Exactly." Chrys agreed.

"Do they know who we are?" Morgan asked.

"Most definitely," Chrys answered.

"Then, they must be with 'them'," Morgan said as she stared outside.

"Yeah," Chrys answered, as he also stared outside. He then took a seat on the inside of the craft.

We are going to have to wait for the others to get here. Which means, they will have a head start. " Morgan said as she took a seat with Chrys.

They then sat quietly together with their minds off to somewhere.

After a while, the low rumbling of a motor could be heard. Chrys and Morgan stood up and headed outside.

They saw a familiar pair of vehicles approaching them. Both vehicles stopped just before they got off, as the passengers got off.

A green-haired man jumped out of one of the driver's seats and ran towards the aircraft.

"Haha, finally!!" The man enthusiastically laughed as he passed Chrys and Morgan.

"Hold that thought, V." Chrys called out, which forced V to stop running towards the aircraft.

"What is it now?" V snarled at him.

"Just wait for the others." Chrys replied.

"We have something to say." He added

"What?! That you two are scumbags?!We already know that. " V grinned as he began to walk off.

Before he got far, a white-haired girl approached them and asked. "Why are we just standing here? "Are we not going inside?"

"Oh, that's because someone stole the core of the ship, Lilly." Chrys stated clearly and loudly.

loud enough to reach the ears of a certain green-haired man. V turned his head around and asked with a menacing look. "What did you say?"

"Well, if you would wait and listen, maybe I can tell you." Chrys smiled at V with a smug look.

"'Well, maybe if you wait and listen, I'll tell you.' Fuck off, you threatening bastard." V mocked them as he stood close to them.

"So what happened?" Lilly asked.

"Well you see..."

Chrys then proceeded to tell them what happened when they got there, but left out the conversation that he and Morgan had on the way there.

Meanwhile, Hela was lifting the materials from the trucks and transferring them into the aircraft.

She said her path was blocked by three girls, so she said "Umm, hello, can you guys move?"

"Oops, sorry!" Rose said as she and Amber moved to the right.

"I'm also sorry." Miya bowed as she moved to the left.

Hela gave them a bright smile as she continued on her way.

Did they have something like this back in Titan, Rose? Amber asked Rose as she pointed at the aircraft.

"No. Assuming that this thing can fly. " Rose pointed at the thrusters attached to the craft.

"That thing is too heavy to be lifted by the technology over there. I'm quite a bit on the clear myself though. " "Rose she said as she pointed at her back.

"Uh, okay. But, those scales should weigh it down a bit more. " Amber replied as they both stared at the craft while seemingly thinking.

Meanwhile, a certain other girl with a grey fur coat is just staring at the craft with a curious gaze. "Hmm, this thing looks... familiar." Miya mumbled to herself.

"Oh, now I remember. This looks like the one that those people who took us from the train used. " Miya thought to herself.

She remembered how the one she saw the Hunters use crashed near the snowy mountains.

"But, I think I remember seeing it somewhere else before." Miya said to herself as she fell deeply into thought.

Meanwhile, back towards Chrys and his talk with the others.

"And that's about what we know." Chrys said as he finished relaying the information he knew.

"Well, what are we waiting for?! Let's chase after them. Don't we need that core in order to fly? " Lilly asked.

"Yes, we should. Let's unload the materials from the trucks into the Dove first, so we can move faster with the trucks. " Chrys replied to her.

"Well, you guys have fun chasing them." V said as he started to walk away.

"Where do you think you're going, bush head?" 'Lilly called out.

V stopped and said You guys don't really need my help. You people can handle yourselves. "

"So I'm just going to stay here and guard the Dove to make sure nothing gets stolen again." V said as he began walking again.

"Get back here, you lazy slacker!" Lilly shouted as she stomped her way towards V.

When she got close enough, she grabbed V's back collar, causing him to stop his advance.

"Oh, come on! Now that I think about it, Don't we have a "backup core" nearby? Why don't we use that instead? " V said, without even bothering turning around.

"Well, someone might say something about that." Chrys said as he gestured towards the inside of the aircraft.

Inside, Hela was laying down the scales on the metal floor of the aircraft and tying it down with a bunch of ropes. Meanwhile, Loki was laying down on the seats by the side, keeping an eye out on Hela as she moved around the place.

"Well, anyway, that option is invalid. Think of a better excuse, V. " Chrys said.

"Ugh, how about the 'you don't really need my help part'? Is that a good enough excuse? " V said in an annoyed tone.

"Hmm, no," Chrys replied.

"Fuck off!" V said as he began to walk off again.

Lilly, who was grabbing him by the collar, got dragged along with him. She tried to hold him down, but their physical strengths are a bit different.

Seeing Lilly's struggle, Chrys then spoke in a loud, clear voice. "Hmm, oh yeah. Morgan. "

Morgan turned and looked at him with a blank stare.

"Did you know that inside V's room is an..."

"Bla, Bla, Bla!!! I thought that you said that you would keep quiet about that. " V interrupted as he stopped walking.

"I never said that." Chrys replied with a smug smile.

"I can confirm he never said that." Lilly said as she suddenly popped into the conversation.

"You piece of shit!" V stared at him with a look of disgust.

"Tsk! Fine! I'll go with you, you blackmail piece of shit! " V said as he stood with them.

"Alright, now onto another topic. What do we do with the girls? " Chrys asked them.

"Why should I care?" V asked as he gritted his teeth.

Morgan remained silent and just observed with a blank stare.

"What about the girls?" Lilly asked.

Didn't you hear what I said earlier? The people who took the core absolutely know who we are. " Chrys said.

"And if they knew who we were, they still attacked us." They must be pretty confident and dangerous."

"That's why we need Bush to head over there. I'm not taking any chances with them. Chrys added.

V grumbled something to himself, as he maintained an annoyed expression.

"Well, you weren't there when we got ambushed." Rose handled herself pretty well, but I can't say the same for the other two. " Lilly said.

"And you want them to face the enemies 'we' face?" Chrys asked.

"Yeah, you're right." Lilly said as she looked down on the ground with a gloomy look on her face.

Seeing this, Morgan raised her fist and gave Chrys a light punch. which was easily blocked by his golden aura.

Chrys then looked at her with a raised eyebrow before sighing.

just as Chrys opened his mouth to speak again. Lilly raised her face, which was now wearing a look of determination.

"But, I think that we should let them experience a real fight." Lilly said with a voice full of resolve.

Chrys gave her a look of surprise before turning his gaze towards V and Morgan.

V had his back turned against him and was currently sulking angrily.

"I think she's right." Morgan replied monotonously.

"Fine." Chrys sighed.

Lilly's face was suddenly filled with joy.

"Ah, Sister Morgan!!! You're the best! " Lilly called out, as she hugged Morgan.

Morgan's face, meanwhile, maintained a blank look as she hugged her back.

"If I remember correctly, their weapons broke. There should be extras inside the Dove. Arm them before we leave. Lilly, they're your responsibility now. " "Chrys said to her."

Lilly let go of Morgan and replied with a joyous expression. "Yes!"
