Chapter 102 Jade

After leaving Lilly alone, Morgan made her way through the paths and walkway around town, observing anything that breathes and that does not.

As a couple of children bumped into her, a child got knocked down. The other kids stopped immediately, but Morgan offered the child a hand.

"Thank you. Sorry for the inconvinience." Said the children before continuing their run.

Morgan watched their backs slowly disappear on sight before touching her face, which formed a slightly agitated expression.

After noticing her facial expression, Morgan gripped her fists together, only to be met with thin air.

After looking at her empty palms for a few seconds, she took a few deep breaths, calming herself, before continuing her walk.

Morgan then looked up above the roofs of the buildings, towards the great mountains that surrounds it.

Her eyes landed on a place atop of a cliff that overlooks the city. Morgan then looked around. After finding someone, she took a few breathes before she asked them. "Excuse me, can I ask about something?"

"Oh, yes, of coarse." Replied the resident.

"Okay. I'd just like to ask... Can I ask about the building atop that cliff? I don't seem to recall a building being there the last time I was here."

"Ah, you must be from the country side. That building was newly built by the Queen's orders. It serves as a natural watchtower over the city. Nothing else on top besides the great view you get from up there."

"Is the way to get up there still the same? I quite like that view." Said Morgan.

"Yep, the same way it always was. Up the only path, that's on the side of the cliff."

"Thank you for your time."

"You're welcome, young lady."

And then Morgan headed for the cliff side. Then, the person she was talking to, turned her direction before saying to themself. "I probably should have told her about the person living there."

Only to dismiss it by saying. "Nah, she is quite nice to strangers."

Meanwhile, at the base of the cliffside, Morgan stared up the stairs by working it's way up the side of the sheer cliffside.

Without another word, she began making her way up, walking through the hundreds of red gates that lined the way up.

Somewhere else in the city, Suzuki is talking to his wife on the front door of his house, saying. "I'll be back as soon as possible."

"Got it. Take care. Careful not to slip into a furnace and cook yourself." His wife said as she waved him goodbye."

Suzuki waved back saying. "You too. Take care not to drown in the bath."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

And then, the couple separated. Suzuki met up with Sora and a couple more of his workmates along the way.

"So, how's your day?"

"Unfortunately, I'm still alive."

"Argh, I think all that alcohol from yesterday is still waking it's way around my body."

"Well, you probably should stop before you body gives up on you."

"I'll drink to that!"

"Hahahaha!"

After joking for a few more minutes, they have made their way to a large building that spanned a couple hundreds of meters.

The guards at the front door greeted the group by saying. "Alright, you know the drill."

Then, the group then lined up in a line. Sora was up first as the guard asked him. "Okay, what's your name?"

"I'm your buddy, Sora."

"Neugh." The guard released a completely unamused noise as he checked Sora's person.

"Do you have any family relations?"

"The bloodline ends with me, got a wife though."

"Her name?"

"What's your name again, honey?"

The guard gave Sora a light punch to the abdomen as he said. "Just go."

And after doing this to every person on the group, Sora, Suzuki, and everyone else in the group eventually entered the building.

Upon entering, Suzuki and the others made their way through the busy building.

"Pull! Pull! Pull!"

"Pull! Pull! Pull!"

On one corner of the factory we have men pulling up a massive chiselled boulder, only to drop it onto a large scale-like material on a large table.

And on the other we have people just absolutely hammering the living daylights out of a large normal looking egg.

As the group began separating, a large green beast was wheeled into the room. It's eyes lifeless and cold, but just the sheer size of it is enough to make someone fear it even though it's dead.

"Looks like you got a lot of work ahead of you, bud." Suzuki playfully said to Sora, who then said. "What are they doing bringing that here?!"

Sora then left Suzuki before yelling at the people pushing the green beast. "Oi! That needs to go through the inspections first, then the dissecting, then onto the deboning and seperating before you get it here, at the forging!"

"We are so sorry, Mr. Manager!"

As Sora went on to do his job, Suzuki was approached by someone who said to him. "Suzuki, can you get these to Senior Tanaka? These things are way to hard to form." Handinh Suzuki a large cart full of beast parts.

"Got it, no problem."

"Thank you."

As Suzuki pushed the cart along the busy weapon's factory, he eventually made his way to a familiar looking man.

It was his Senior, Tanaka, who is holding a hammer on his right while holding a glowing scarlet blade on the left.

His concentration was then interrupted when Suzuki said. "Good morning, Senior Tanaka. Can you help me out with these?"

Tanaka then brgan shouting. "Huh?! Who do you think-" But stopped once he saw Suzuki's face, causing him to say. "Oh, it's just you. Come on, what do you need? I'm busy."

Suzuki took a beast part from his cart before placing it on Tanaka's anvil. He then explained. "They told me these things won't bend and form. Got any advice?"

Tanaka hit the thing with his hammer once before saying. "Ehh, freeze before heating it up again. Works everytime."

"Thank you, you're the best!" Suzuki said as he rolled his cart away.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, I know." Tanaka waved before going back to his work.

As the men in the factory worked, meanwhile in the Sun region' royal palace. Queen Ame woke up from hes bed made out of animal plush toys.

In the same building, her brother, Prince Tsuku, just entered through the window yawning before entering his room.

And now, in the place over the mountains in the north, through the valley which separates two powers, within a glorious city known as...

*THE CITY GROWN ON JADE- XIAN CITY*"

And within the palace surrounded in a calm, shallow pond, within one of it's many rooms, an old woman and a young lady sat.

"Please, Princess, hear me out." Said the older woman.

Then, the young lady with straight, long, black hair, emerald eyes, and fair skin, turned to look at her.

Her beautiful face, within the span of a second, transformed into an extremely annoyed expression as she said. "I had enough."

Then, the young lady with emerald eyes began ranting. "I had enough of you, and your stupid tradition! If I have to spend hours to just get make up, I will kick someone."

"Princess Jade, but these are-"

Jade then continued "Don't 'Princess Jade' me!"

"I had enough of the word Jade!" Jade said as picked up a random, suspicious looking pot in the room.

"Can I ask what this is called?!"

To which the older woman replied. "It's a jade vase, Princess."

"Exactly my point! Who comes out with these names?! Jade this! Jade that! Jade your mom! Why is everything called Jade?!" Jade screamed as she began visibly losing her mind.

She then placed the pot back in it's place before pointing at it and saying. "And this stupid pot! Why is it here?! What is it doing here, looking so random and suspicious?! I swear, if this has some meaning or purpose, someone better tell me before I absolutely lose it!"

Then, a young man appeared in the room saying. "I think you already have." Causing botht the women in the room to glare at him.

The young man is about Jade's age, blue eyes and grey hair, his clothes cling onto his toned body with his boots and gloves looking a bit too large for him.

The young man then said. "Good morning to you, Princess Jade of the Jade capital of the Jade region, daughter to the one and only Lord Jade. How is you day going so far?"

Jade then replied by throwing the pot towards the man while shouting. "Shut up!"

The young man caught the pot with precise movements before setting it down before the older woman as he said. "Can you please return this later?"

To which the older woman replied by sneering. "Damned Mutt! You and your group are the reason the princess is like this."

The man bent over, leaning his face a bit too close to the woman's face before saying with a smile. "That's Matt for you... old woman."

"Damn you!" Said the woman as she swiped at Matt, only to meet thin air as Matt has already moved away.

Matt then turned his attention to Jade as he asked. "What are we going to do today, Princess Jade of the Jade capital of the Jade region, daughter to the one and only Lord Jade?"

"Shut your mouth! Go outside and... and..."

Seeing Jade's lack of words, Matt then said sarcastically. "And what? Oh, the suspense! Come on, tell me! My heart can't take it!"

As Jade finally snapped, she screamed. "Go outside, you stupid mutt!"

Matt then bowed as he said. "As you wish, Princess Jade of the-"

"Stop before I make you stop!"

Matt then quickly left the room while continuing. "Princess Jade of the Jade Capital of the Jade region, daughter of the one and only Lord Jade."

"Aaaarrghh!" Jade let out a blood curdling scream after hearing Matt's words.

After calming herself down, the old woman then spoke again. "Are you okay now, Princess?"

After letting out a defeated sigh, Jade replied. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for asking."

"About what I said earlier."

With a trace of anger, Jade replied. "I said, No."

"I understand, Princess."

Jade then said to herself. "I think I need some fresh air, I feel like I lost years of my life from just screaming."

The woman then said. "If you'd like, I'll tell the rest to prepare your carrage and send a few escorts."

Jade then said. "No. I'm going out on my own."

The woman then said to her with a stern tone. "But Princess, going out on your own is... What if something happens to you?"

To which Jade just replied. "Are you saying I can't go out and take a walk in MY own city without being in danger?! What are the city guards doing then?!"

Before the woman could reply, Matt's voice then resounded in the room saying. "If you really insist, Jade, we can accompany you."

Jade and the woman turned their heads towards the closed door before Jade yelled. "Why are you still here?! Didn't I tell you to leave?!"

Matt then replied sarcastically. "I mean. I left the room. And can I add, these walls are so thin that you could hear people getting it on, on the other side of the building."

"Just, shut it!"

After saying that, Jade looked at the woman before continuing. "Fine, Matt go get someone else to go with us. We are taking a walk outside."

Matt then said. "As you wish, Princess Ja-"

"Don't even try it!"

"Yes, Jade."
