Chapter 125 Nightfall

Just outside of a dimly lit building, currently being blessed with a full moon and a curtain of twinkling stars, Morgan and Hanabi sat on the balcony over looking the capital.

"Mo-chan. Not to be rude or anything, but... how long are you going to stay here?"

"Am I no longer welcome?"

"No, no, no, no, no! You are more than welcome to stay for as long as you want. But, I'm sure that the people with you are starting to worry."

"There's no need to worry about that, Hanabi. He knows me too well. If he needs me, he knows where to find me."

"Are you sure? How can you tell?"

"I just know. Because I know him too well as well."

"Yeah..."

"Are you okay?"

"Yes... Just... feeling tired..."

"Tired of what?"

"Just tired."

"It's not just physically, is it?"

"What is this? Perhaps you know me too well as well, Mo-chan?"

"You did something like this to me earlier, did you not? It's my turn."

After saying this, Morgan went inside before emerging a few moments later, holding a board.

"Are you serious? Hahaha! You know, I didn't take you for the vengeful type."

"And I, took you for the perceptive type. Shall we play, Ha-chan?"

"Oh! I think like where this is going, Mo-chan."

After setting up the pieces and moving closer towards the light, they began to play.

*Tap* *Tap*

"So, why do I see loneliness in you, Ha-chan?"

*Tap* *Tap*

"Hehe! Loneliness? Can't you see my smile?"

*Tap* *Tap*

"The ones who smile the most, are the ones bearing the worst."

*Tap*

"Hah! That might be true..."

*Tap* *Tap*

"Is it the person you mentioned earlier? Aside from that guy named Makoto... You only ever referred to someone in their full name one other time..."

*Tap* *Tap*

*Tap* *Tap*

"Hahaha! How perceptive of you, Mo... Mota?"

"Incorrect."

*Tap* *Tap*

"I suck at guessing, I guess. Hahaha!"

*Tap* *Tap*

"Why are you delaying, Ha-na-bi? Afraid?"

*Tap* *Tap*

"Hah! Getting a bit daring are we, Mo-ka-ta."

*Tap* *Tap*

"*stare*"

*Tap* *Tap*

"Maybe a little... I am so used to being on the otherside of this sort of conversation."

*Tap* *Tap*

"Yonshi, was it?

*Tap* *Tap*

"Hehe..."

*Tap* *Tap*

"It's cute to see how you TRY and divert the topic, Ha-na-bi."

*Tap* *Tap*

"Heh... I guess, you win this time, Mo-chan..."

After Morgan's win, they set the board aside as they stared at the stars high above.

"Yonshi... that was his name..."

"Was he special to you?"

"He held the most meaning to me..."

"..."

Touching the scar on her cheek, Hanabi continued.

"I know you have been wondering where I got this scar from..."

"If you look inside, the blade hanging up there on the wall, that's what did it..."

Staring into her palms, Hanabi continued. "And the hands that held them, was these..."

"...Why, Hanabi?"

"I'm sure you know how people act, Mo-chan. You saw first hand on how they act afterall."

"..."

"Like ants, they would swarm at any opportunity to get themselves a sweet young lady..."

"..."

"But, Yonshi... He was different."

"..."

Looking down on the city below them, Hanabi stated. "Even though he was given this magnificent view... He only saw me."

"..."

"Before he left, I made a promise with him, made purely out of trust."

"..."

"With my own blade, I severed my ties with my family and sliced my own face... Afterall, nobody wants a damaged person."

"..."

"He said he will return to me. No matter how I look, he said he will return to me."

"...That's a lot of trust, Hanabi."

"Of course, I decided he was the only one for me, as he said I was the only one for him. Is that so wrong, Mo-chan?"

"...No."

"You see... A relationship is like that. It's not just a one-sided road, it goes both ways."

"..."

"You reach out your hand because you know that they will take it..."

"You willingly fall, for you know that they will catch you..."

"You hug them, for you know that they will hug back..."

"You cry, for they will always be there when you need them..."

"Do you understand, Mo-chan?"

"...Yes, I understand."

"I don't think you do, Mo-chan."

"..."

"Let's go to sleep now, Mo-chan. We have a whole new day ahead of us tommorow."

"Yes... we do."

As the two young women prepared to go to bed, on the otherside of the valley, two young men are stealthily hopping from rooftop to rooftop.

It was a man with green hair and a man with golden eyes.

"I want to go to bed."

"Didn't you sleep all afternoon, you lazy trash?"

"I get tired whenever I'm with you, you golden bastard!"

"Stay quite or I'll always give you the hardest tasks."

"You monster...!"

"Oh, I like that noise."

As they continued to hop above, eventually reaching the top of a high, two story building, they sat around as they kept a vigilant watch on the dimly-lit city.

"Oi, Goldie."

"What?"

"How long has it been since that blue-eyed bitch returned?"

"What is this? You of all people, asking ME about someone else? Where is our V, you imposter?"

"I hate you so much..."

"Hehehe!"

As they continued to watch the surrounding area, they continued to talk.

"Oi! You still haven't answered my question. Has it been a day?"

"I believe so... Why are you even asking, finally grew a heart?"

"Don't liken me to you! It makes me feel sick! Bleugh!"

"I mean, I did forget to put my heart on this morning."

"...In all seriousness, you probably should go and talk to her."

"Nah, she can handle herself."

"You know full damn well she needs you."

"What is this? The mighty V, giving me relationship advice? What is happening?!"

"*stare*"

"I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me."

"..."

"Fine. I'll go and talk to her when I get the chance."

"You should while you still have the chance."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah... yeah. Let's move, closer towards the mountains this time."

As the two young men continued to hop around the rooftops, back onto the otherside of the valley, a certain man walked out of his room.

With a commanding voice, he spoke. "Shiru."

While staring down an empty hallway, a young lady with puffy cheeks seemingly appeared from the shadows.

Then, after kneeling, she replied. "Are you ready to go now, Prince Tsuku?"

"Let's go."

After hoping out of the window beside them, while traversing down the guard-filled walls, they talked.

"My Prince, shouldn't we get more people to go with us? Any of these guards will do."

"No. My sister already have people scouting every land that the sun touches. I am here to look at the places she can't, bringing people would only complicate things."

"But-"

"I only agreed to bring you with me, Shiru, because my sister is experiencing enough worries. Now, come. The night won't last forever."

"Yes, My Prince."
