Chapter 128 Similar, Dissimilar

"Is everything okay?"

"Their relationship didn't get better or worse, so to say."

"Is the Queen alright, Yasashi?"

"No, Kinu, the Queen is not alright. But, she will get better, afterall, she is quite strong."

As they continued on talking to each other, a young man with canine features entered the room.

"Nuno?! What happened?!"

Nuno, who's clothes are all tattered and riddled with holes, replied with a tired voice. "We traced the path where the enemies retreated after fighting the prince, and it was riddled with traps."

"Do you need help, brother?"

"No, trust me, you don't want to. There are fire balls, rivers that shouldn't be there, pit falls out of nowhere and a lot more."

"Sounds like you need help, Nuno. Is Shiro still there?"

"Yes, Yasashi. He told me to get you over and help him lead the troops."

"Got it! Stay here with your sister. Assist the Queen and take care of Shiru and yourself, I'm going out!"

"Yes."

"Yes~!"

After Yasashi left, Kinu then stated. "Can I go back to our house after this?"

"Why?"

"I just miss them. All of this kind off makes me anxious."

"You can go now, I'll take over for you right now."

"Okay! Thank you, big brother!"

"Just remember to pass by our parents' ashes and say hello."

"Got it~!"

Meanwhile, in a building within the Sun region's capital, Lilly is sitting by herself.

Then, Miya came by and sat with her, asking. "Is everything alright, Lilly?"

"Ah! Miya, didn't notice you there! How are you doing?"

"Good. Where you in the middle of something?"

"Ah, no. There is just... something that's on my mind right now."

"Is that why you look all... stressed out?"

"Eh?"

After hearing Miya's words, Lilly immediately touched her face, feeling the way her skin folds.

"Huh, I should touch up for a bit, I guess."

"I think you should. You have been looking a bit gloomy lately."

"Really? Hmm... Anyways, why are you not with Rose and Amber, Miya?"

"Well, something seems to be going on between those two, I thought it would be best to leave themselves to figure it out."

"What is this? Are you beginning to read the mood, Miya?"

"Yes, Chrys told me if someone has a bunch of gloomy clouds hanging above them, I should offer assistance but never fix all of their problems for them."

"Do you know what 'gloomy clouds hanging above' means?"

"Yes... It means they are in a bad mood or experiencing something bad?"

"Why did you say it like a question, Miya?" Lilly asked with a grin.

"Uh, making sure?"

"'Making sure', huh?"

"I just read the room and it reads you don't me here, right?"

"What?"

"I will take my leave."

"Miya, no! Don't feel bad, I was just teasing. Please! Don't leave me!"

Just as Miya was halfway up the stairs, looking back over her shoulders, seeing Lilly's cheerful grin greeting her, Miya immediately ran up the stairs saying nothing.

"Hahaha! Miya, nyooo~!"

After Miya completely disappeared into the second floor, Lilly stood up and walked in front of a mirror.

Starting from her slender legs, up to her petite, noncurvy body, and finally to her face.

Her face was currently obstructed by her short, white hair, so she swept it to the side for now.

After hanging her hair right behind her ears, Lilly looked at her hair and mumbled. "Hmm..."

After taking her attentiom away from her hair, Lilly looked at her face.

Her skin pale white, her lips moist, cheeks slightly red, and her eyes shining a light blue color thanks to the sun next to her.

Apart from her four-petalled pupils, she looked at the dark rings around the bottom of her eyes.

"Hmm..."

After taking a few steps back, she inspected herself once more as she tried to form a smile, but could only form an awkward one.

Seeing how awkward she looked, her awkward smile turned into a frown as she returned her hair to normal, blocking her face once more.

After that, she just left without saying a word.

Meanwhile, in a place devoid of sunlight, surrounded by great walls of stone lined with a few torches, a petite woman walked.

Looking at her reflection in the mirror she held, she swiped up the white strands of hair that dared block her face.

As her long, white hair rolled down her back like a river, she continued to walk further into the cave as she continued to look at her reflection.

From her pale white skin, to her moist, red lips, to her slightly red cheeks, and finally, to her eyes, which glowed a scarlet red color that pierces anything that dare meet it's glare.

After slowly blinking, keeping her red pupils in the shape of a four-petalled flower from drying out.

Then, she formed a smile. A smile so confident, so arrogant, so filled with conviction, and a smile so overwhelmingly beautiful.

Happy at how she looked, she returned the mirror to her waist as she maintained her smile while continuing her walk inside the cave.

As a few droplets of water dripped onto the cave floor, the petite young lady turned the corner.

At the end of the corner she turned, an abandoned shrine is built.

But, it is not so abandoned as it might first seem, for there are atleast ten people, all emitting a hostile aura, are spread around on it.

"Did I keep you waiting?" Said the petite young woman, her voice filled with confidence and fearlessness.

"..."

"Don't be shy now."

"When is it happening, fox?"

Met with a very demanding tone, the petite young lady continued.

"You guys are, from what I remember, the fourth group waiting for the Jade region, right? Or is it the sixth? Or the ninth?"

"We are not here to play your games, fox!"

"Now, now, there is no need to get loud with me. We are on the same side afterall."

"After I get what I came here for, your head is next."

With a grin forming on her beautiful face, the petite young lady stated. "I'm counting on it."

Then, another person spoke. "Why are you here, fox? Is it time already?"

"No, I'm just checking. Making sure you guys haven't eaten each other."

"Give us a time, fox. We are getting impatient. If you keep us waiting, YOU are the one getting eaten."

"I like the animosity. Keep it up!"

"Time."

"Hmm, let me think."

"You are telling me you guys have no specific time?!"

"Calm down, calm down. I'm just messing with you."

As the people, who rose up and readied their weapons, withdraw, the petite young lady continued.

"If everything goes to plan, which it will, the time should be... tommorow at high noon. Can you wait that long?"

"You better make sure we can what we want, fox! Or I will enjoy hearing you scream and beg!"

"Don't count on it. Very well, if that is all you have to ask me, this is class dismissed. Tra!"

After saying her final statement, filled with utter confidence, the petite young lady left the scene with a smile on her face, leaving the others to just stand there.
