Chapter 16: Determined

Awakening the next morning, Tsunade sat up in her bed easily as she felt as if a heavy burden was lifted from her shoulders.

'I feel extremely light this morning, is it because of what grandma said last night? She may have been right though. The only thing I have been focused on since I unlocked my chakra has been to grow stronger without any regard for my health. I barely took breaks and I've been ignoring the one thing I said I wanted to protect. And I guess I shouldn't be surprised they realized something was wrong with how desperate I was training. Also, trying to hide secrets in a house full of the most experienced and powerful shinobi in the world might be the reason as well.' she thought to herself.

After washing herself up, she came to the kitchen table and joined the rest of her family to eat.

However unlike usual she didn't once bring up any ninja related topics such as Jutsus or her training, but instead they talked about each other and stories about Hashirama as a child, with Mito being to one to make the God of Shinobi blush in shame.

"So then Hashi goes to a bush to pee, however he ends up not being able to get his pants down, so he peed on himself!" Mito said as everyone broke out in laughter while Hashirama was simply wishing he was anywhere but here.

"It's ok grandpa, everyone has accidents." Tsunade spoke in the most innocent voice she could muster while to everyone else that only seemed to make it more hilarious.

However they were broken out of their laughter by someone who knocked on the door, which they opened to find Ashina.

However, he seemed confused over the reason that they were laughing so much so he asked "What are you all been laughing at?"

However Tsunade seemed to be feeling extremely mischievous today so she said "Grandpa peed on himself." which caused everyone to laugh once more while Hashirama screamed while his face was extremely red

"That was 30 years ago!!!"

After the laughter died down once, Ashina said "Well, I didn't come here to hear about brother-in-laws accident, I came to pick up Tsuande for her Fuinjutsu training."

A small frown appeared on Mito's face, and she was about to tell Ashina that he could get her later, but Tsunade beat her to the punch by saying "It's ok grandma, you were right. But I'm no longer in a rush, I'm prepared to take my time." she said with a look of determination on her face.

Mito simply stared at her for a moment, with Tsunade's face overlapping with a younger Hashirama's as an old memory that she hasn't thought of for over 30 years popped up in her mind.

"I have a dream Mito. For children to no longer have to die on the battlefields like my family. I've already united with Madara for us to accomplish our dream, but I want to know will you help me achieve it?"

Mito recalled her answer as all she said was "I will."

She then looked at the current face of Tsunade for a few seconds before saying "Ok Tsuna."

Tsunade smiled as she gave her a hug before going out the door with Ashina.

"Do you think she's going to be ok, Mito? Hashirama asked, concerned about his granddaughter.

"She will be just fine Hashi." Mito said with a closed eyed smile.

Ashina walked with Tsunade until they got to one of the village's training grounds. He brought the materials they would need for training and said "We will have to wait until my other student arrives before we begin, Tsunade."

Tsunade became curious about who it was before a voice interrupted her pondering by saying "Sorry I'm late Dad, I ate some ramen on the way. But I forgot where the training grounds were and they were hard to find, ya know."

Tsunade looked at the person who spoke and was stunned.
