Chapter 117: Megiddo

After 12 hours of either detoxifications, surgeries, or healings, Tsunade had been able to greatly mitigate their losses by an astronomical degree.

If Tsunade, had not made it, the the vast majority of those poisoned may have died.

However, with her interference, she had been able to save nearly every life in the Medical Ward.

And though she was unable to save a few, she had done all that she could to save them as well.

She had even deployed Wood Clones to assist her in all the tasks she had to do.

A week had passed since the attack and Tsunade's subsequent healing of them all, with hefr prolonging the meeting to give everyone, including herself, time to rest and recover.

Though that didn't mean she had not been plotting how she would respond to the attack.

Don't get her wrong, Tsunade was an individual who attempted to keep her temper in check due to her not wishing to allow her emotions to run rampant anymore.

But Chiyo had attacked Tsunade's base when she wasn't there and had poisoned her entire army, which included some of her closest friends.

Anger didn't due justice to the amount of sheer fury that Tsunade had engulfing her, and she would use all this rage in a positive manner, by making sure to cripple Sunagakure's army that she led.

"Let us begin this meeting." Shikai said, with everyone paying close attention as they wished to see how Tsunade would respond to the previous attack.

"First, I would like to give thanks to our Commander, Tsunade Senju. If it were not for her, we would have lost an immense amount of our Shinobi." Shikai began by giving Tsunade thanks, with everyone in the room doing the same.

"Now that we have done that, in regards to the previous battle, we lost less than 40 shinobi with only 2 being Jonin, 4 being Special Jonin, 5 being Chunin, and the rest being Genin. This includes shinobi who lost body parts and have become severely wounded." Shikai said as he gave a report on the losses they faced from their last mission.

"Last week, the team of Tsunade Senju, Orochimaru, Shiro Aburame, and Choma Akimichi were able to cripple the supplies of the Iwa army, basically making them unable to recover for at least a few months.

This means we only have to concern ourselves with the troop of the Land of Rain and the Land of Wind. With Hanzo retreating to his main stronghold, this leads to us having the optimal opportunity to finish catching the Suna army off guard as we go on the offensive. Now, I shall let Lady Tsunade explain the details behind the attack." Shikai finished, allowing Tsunade to explain her plan and how they would be going into the battle.

The next few days passed quickly in the base, with Tsunade ensuring that her troops were ready to have a penultimate battle with the Sand on this front.

Tsunade's plan leaned on her clearing up the vast majority of the troops with what could be considered her strongest Water Style Jutsu.

Her troops were a few hours behind her, but it would allow her to deal a fatal strike into the Sand Shinobi before that battle even began.

Tsunade looked over a cliff at the base of the Suna troops, with her seeing how joyful and happy they seemed to be after the win they had gained.

"Perhaps this is simply a difference in our positions. But I will do whatever it takes to protect my Village in the same way you protect yours. It's a promise I made to an important person, so I must do whatever I can to ensure it. Even if you hate me, I will not regret my decision. After all, this is also my revenge." Tsunade spoke to herself as she prepared the Jutsu.

The rain that seemed to always occur in the Land of Rain suddenly stopped, causing many Shinobi to look up to see something that made the shocked.

Large amounts of water grouped together in the sky, making it seem as if large bodies of water were floating in the air.

The water then seemed to be sending droplets into each other, the speed of the water droplets increasing until they seemed like bullets in regards to the speed they moved at.

Tsunade stood atop one of the bodies of water, with her looking down upon the Sand Shinobi one last time.

'I hope you enjoy the Pure Lands.' Tsunade thought as the great Jutsu she was about to use finished getting prepared.

"Water Style: Megiddo!!!"

After she spoke those words, chaos broke.
