Chapter 195: Goodbyes for War

Tsunade stood at the door to her family home, with her and her other family members saying their goodbyes to Ayako, Nawaki, and Kushina, with everyone else in the house heading out in merely an hour.

"Promise me that you all will return. I can not stand the fact that any of you may die." Ayako said as she looked at the people dressed in their Shinobi attire, with all of them being dressed in their Jonin attire except for Mito and Tobirama.

"I promise you that I will do my best to ensure that all of us survive, Mom. No matter what." Tsunade said as she stared at her Mother.

Ayako could only relent, with her turning her attention to the living room, with her seeing both Kushina and Nawaki extremely nervous for them.

Tsunade walked over to them both and scooped them into a hug, with her holding them both tightly.

"We are some of the most powerful Shinobi known to the Shinobi World, with all of us being S-Ranked threats. No matter what, we will overcome whatever dangers that come our way. Just make sure you both keep doing well in school, and know that we shall ensure that you don't have to fight in this conflict." Tsunade said to them both.

She had argued extensively with both Tobirama and Hiruzen about the fact that the Academy graduation requirements could be changed during a time of war, with her and them making the compromise that unless fully dire, the graduation age would not be changed, yet that could change.

This fact alone made Tsunade ready to end this war as soon as possible, just so she could spare her brother and cousin from the horrors of war as long as possible.

The rest of the family joined into the hug, with the entire group holding each other tight, all silently vowing to ensure their family survived this war.

Jiraiya sat at his table across from three of the most important people in his life, with Konan, Nagato, and Yahiko having severe expressions on their faces.

"It's not that bad, at least you three aren't being deployed yet." Jiraiya said with a slight smile.

Yahiko merely glared at him, with her seeming to be holding back his rage.

"That's likely because of you!! What if something happens to you! What are we supposed to do then." Yahiko's words grew quieter towards the end.

Jiraiya's eyes widened a bit, before he grew a fond smile towards the three and walked over and hugged them.

"You're right. I asked Sensei to keep you three in the Village as long as he could. I know that you three are Shinobi, but even the strongest Shinobi can die on the battlefield if they aren't careful. Just protect the Village for me while I'm gone." Jiraiya asked.

The three children merely nodded while still in his grasp, all while he held on to them.

As the separated, he was the watery eyes of Yahiko, with him smirking.

"There is no need to cry, Yahiko. The Gallant Jiraiya will survive anything that those Rock suckers throw at him!!" Jiraiya said.

"I wasn't crying!! That was Konan." Yahiko said while blushing.

However, he then noticed multiple paper spears appear above him, with Konan chasing him around the house.

Jiraiya and Nagato could only smile towards each other, both happy that the two wouldn't be too worried about him.

Inside of the Hokage's office, Tobirama stood before all six of his students, with this being the first time he had done so since he first met them upon his return.

"Well, isn't this ironic. The first time we meet up again is when we're heading into another war. Maybe Saru should have gave the Hokage position back to Tobirama-Sensei." Kagami said as he smiled.

"I think I could agree to that. The bastard always tries to throw his paperwork at me and Homura. It's no wonder you and Torifu turned down the positions." Koharu said while glaring at Hiruzen.

"Hey, I'm not that bad. Danzo doesn't even-" "Shut up, Monkey!" Hiruzen began before Danzo cut him off immediately, not willing to here him implicate him in his blame gain.

Tobirama watched the six of them bickering with amusement, though no one would be able to tell under his icy appearance.

'It good to see that haven't been corrupted by power yet. Though, if the escape this war unscathed, it'll be time for them to step down. This next generation is more than ready to handle the burden. But I wonder if that bastard will finally make a move after being quiet the past few years.' Tobirama thought to himself.

The various people in Konoha said goodbye to their families, with them setting off with their respective armies soon after.
