Her name is Ariel

She takes my shaving cold hands on my arms and pulls me in close and holds me warmly. She is so warm compared to me...I have never been held like this. Not even my own mother.

She takes her far-right hand and ignites a flame and puts it close to me warming me up. So warm...Yet also so dangerous. I remember my mother told me never to trust magic users. Said they are always scheming and experimenting. But this woman doesn't seem to be so bad.

"I hope you are warmed up honey, now tell me your name. I haven't asked you. My name is Ariel Herz. I am an Elf from the region of Hestia."

"Wow...I never heard of Hestia but it sounds amazing!"

"It is a kingdom southwest of here. A beautiful kingdom. Very tropical. I miss living there sometimes around people like me but it isn't so bad."

"Wow...My name is Codaka Longhorn. Even though I don't have a horn I still want one!"

"Oh well at least you have a dream for yourself."

"Yeah. I hope to grow a strong horns like my father one day! I miss him..."

I look down at my lap a bit and she nudges me a bit. I look back over to her and she has a look of concern.

"What happened to your father may I ask?"

"He left us for another woman a while ago and hasn't came back...I miss him."

"Oh...Sorry to hear that. But at least you still have your mother."

"Yeah...I still have her. Even if she doesn't want me sometimes."

She turns her head towards me and eyes me for a bit. Did I say something wrong?

"What do you mean by that?" she asks

"Well...I remember she was talking to one of her lady friends not long ago and was speaking about me in her room. I overheard their conversation...

*flashback*

*creak*

I slowly open the door to see Mother speaking to one of her close lady friends and see them on the bed smoking something. Smell horrible.

"Oh my gosh I can't believe he left you for that whore..." the friend says.

"I don't care about that whore or that man-hoe anyways anymore. *smokes* Life is better without an extra mouth to feed now."

"What about the kid? Is the father going to take him away from you?" the friend asks

"What do I care. He can have Codaka for all I care. The kid is just an extra mouth to feed this whole short time in having him and he has a skin condition...how did he get such bad genes...*sighs* Either way it doesn't matter. The kid can handle himself...

*flashback ends*

Ariel looks at me for a while after telling her what had happened and she seems shocked after what I have said. She tries to say something but is unsure how to speak her mind at the moment. When suddenly the wolven waiter comes back with the food.

"Here you go you two. Deluxe burger with fries and a salad. Enjoy ma'am and also your son too."

"Oh he is not my son. He is just a kid I found on the road alone and scared."

"Oh apologies. Shouldn't he be taken to the authorities?"

"I plan to tomorrow after I clean him up a bit and get some food in him. I mean look at him. He looks homeless...Scratches on him and torn up clothes and hungry...He is in such poor condition."

"I see, well hopefully you get him to his parents soon! Have a nice meal you two!" the wolven teen walks away with a smile on his face and walks away.

I look at the burger and it is large! the size of my head! This is perfect since I have not eaten since this morning!

I take the burger in my hands and start devouring the bun down fast when a hand gently touches my shoulder and I stop in the middle of my session. I turn my head over and see Ariel with her hand on me and looks at me with concern.

"Please don't eat so fast you will get the hiccups. Plus it is better to savoir your food otherwise it takes the fun out of it."

"Oh...Uhm, okay.." I say as I take a slow bite out of the large burger.

*Chews* As I slowly chew it feels weird as I am used to eating fast. Typically mother wants me to finish my food fast often so I don't get to savoir it much.

But it does taste very good. Delicious food after so long without eating today is the best. But I hope I won't make this a recurring theme in my life further on. I continue chewing my second bite and I am already halfway done since my mouth is larger than a humans so I am already close to finishing my burger.

As I look over to Ariel she is slowly eating her salad carefully with a fork of somekind and begins adding some kind of dressing to it. I rarely eat greens so.

*few minutes later*

I have finished my meal and I already feel stuffed in my tiny belly. I look down at my exposed stomach and see my tummy has a small bulge from my food sticking out. It was very good.

I look back at Ariel and she seems to be finished with her meal as well. She takes a napkin and start dabbing at her lips wiping of some dressing and sets it down. Her lips look so soft.

"Are you done?" she asks

"Yep. I am so full!"

"Good, we will pay and then we will leave for my house."

"Okay!"

We wait for a bit and the wolven returns with the receipt in hands and a tray to pick up our dishes. He sets down the receipt and then says a few words before departing.

"Thank you again for coming here ma'am. Might I say you look very beautiful this night"

"Aw, thank you sweety! You look very handsome as well! I bet you have a girlfriend." she says.

"I actually do so yes. Thank you. Have a good night and stay safe." he says before walking away.

"You as well young man" she says smiling.

As he walks away. She pays for the meal and we had out of the restaurant. I forget it was raining so a gust of wind blows more rain into me. Ariel however takes my hand and takes me over to the car with the umbrella over me and sets me in the car.

As I get it I start shivering again. Ariel gets in the car and closes her door and shivers just a bit as well. She makes a flame in her hand and warms herself up. I continue shivering until she turns on the car starting the seat warmers. So warm!

I stop shivering for after a while and then calm down. I start getting sleeping again and doze off. As I sleep I get a dream about when I get home

*Dream*

"Mama!" I say running over to her

"Oh honey I was so worried about you! I looked everywhere for you but you were lost to me!" she says while taking me in.

"MMMM I was so scared without you!"

"So was I, I am so glad you are safe!"

"She helped me get back home!" I say pointing to Ariel waving over to me.

"Thank you so much for helping me and my son. You are a life saver"

"No problem" Ariel says while walking over to us.

*Badump*

I jerk awake and we are driving over some dirt gravel. I open my eyes and look out and it is darkness and focus my eyes. We are in the open and there are some trees in the distance and other houses. A little housing community. I look out of the window more and see we are driving to a 3 story building apartment looking complex.

"Wow! Is this where you live ma'am?"

"Yes, I live on the second floor building apartment. Lets go"

She takes out her umbrella and purse and walks out of the car as well as me and I run over to her under the umbrella. We walk over to the door and I open it for her.

"Thank you," she says

I then walk inside the door and close it behind me and I see this grand looking front desk that is all white. With a lamp on. A Elf man is at the front desk looking at a screen when he sees us. He and up straight and tall and addresses familiarity to Ariel.

"Hello Ariel, back pretty late are you?"

"Yes, something came up and I was er...later than I would like to be. But not an issue." she says while looking down at me.

The elf man notices me and looks at me for a moment. Confused. He eyes my torn clothing for a while and then asks a question.

"Uhm, whats with the kid? Why are his clothes torn up?" he asks
