Seth held Melody's eyes for five silent minutes before coming down to meet her.
Melody narrowed her eyes when he approached her. Those violet eyes of hers held no anger but they weren't planning on blindly sweeping everything under the rug either.
Seth reached her. Still, a four feet distance remained between them.
He didn't know what to say, where to begin. What should he say? His mouth twitched from her suddenly closing the space between them. Her bright eyes didn't leave his face for a second.
He knew what to say now, but this was far from the best place to talk.
"Can we talk? At the lakeshore?"
Melody gave no reaction at first. She just took her time drinking in his appearance. His soothing voice had grown pale and it seemed like he'd lost weight. faintly dark, lanky pockets shadowed his eyes.
