Seth raced back to the mansion ahead of Melody to see Hillary for himself.
He felt her pulse that day. He carried her with his own hands to the car's boot. Her skin had lost all the warmth that could be felt from a beating heart. Her breath had stilled and she was as cold as ice.
He... couldn't have been mistaken, could he? Did he dig up a grave just to bury a person that wasn't even dead and... wait... It's been three weeks. Why didn't she come back earlier?
Seth didn't know which of his thoughts could be considered reasonable. He'll have to see her for himself and find out. The doors flew open and Seth halted after his eyes perched on the feminine profile serving Sage.
Melody joined him a few seconds later. Confused and gasping for breath. He was so fast.
"Where did you learn to run like that?"
