The Talk

Sometimes you need to see it first hand how different an anime character is to a real character. Anime characters are superhuman in their physical activities while real based characters, while showing bouts of strength, are usually at peak human level. So, Godbrand was not even surprised when he had taken out all the combatants that had come to take him out. He had to do it while holding back because his strength was greater than all of them combined. Due to this, armed with nothing but a scalpel, everyone could hardly believe it when he started deflecting bullets so casually.

"Overwatch, he's an enhanced. I repeat, target is an enhanced!" one of the soldiers screamt at his radio while Godbrand was doing quick work of his men.

"Copy, Overwatch copies all," the radio said back, making him go back to concentrate on the fight only to find a punch coming his way. It was so fast he did not even react to it, making it land on his forehead and he was thrown backwards by the force, completely unconscious!

"Overwatch? Never thought Samuel L Jackson was in Overwatch," Godbrand commented before looking behind him and saw more soldiers coming. "This is getting tedious. Time for a shortcut." He turned to the wall on his left then slashed it ten times. The cut section crumbled, showing a shaped rectangular opening.

"New York!" Godbrand sighed, looking at the Statue of Liberty not far away from where he was. He was currently on the sixth floor of the building but he still jumped down with a smile on his face. The soldiers came to a stop at the opening he made and peered down only to see him land on his feet, let his momentum carry him into doing a roll then stood up, unharmed.

"Holy shit, he just did that!" one of them exclaimed in disbelief.

"It looks easy," another one said but the others quickly restrained him from jumping.

"From this height and your weight, you will break every bone in your body if you decide to jump. I'd rather my men die in a battlefield than their own stupidity. Hansen, call it in," their leader told them.

Godbrand made his way around the streets of the big city, trying to find what was different. His earlier thesis that he might either be in the MCU universe or the XXX universe, for those are the only universes he could think of that had Samuel L Jackson in a position of power in am organization, came to halt when he heard the soldiers yell out Overwatch. That could be a call sign but he could also not rule out the possibility that they were calling Overwatch themselves.

"Need to figure out which universe I am. The soldiers did not carry weapons with them and there were no presence of noncombatants in every floor I went," he said to himself.

"Godbrand!" he heard the familiar voice of Samuel L Jackson call out from behind. Turning, he saw the man himself in a dark outfit and a black eye patch on his left eye. "Quite a mess you left behind and I'm not planning on cleaning after you." Godbrand was slightly relieved knowing this version of Samuel L Jackson too well. He knew nothing of the other two universes except nitpick of knowledge.

"You must be the voice I was hearing," Godbrand said with a smile on his face. "What, no back up?"

"Are they necessary?" Nick Fury asked. Godbrand shrugged making Fury sigh out loud. "You took down thirty of well trained soldiers in a span of thirty minutes. Figured you would take down everyone I would come with so, here I am, no protection, armed with a swiss knife. I only want to talk." Godbrand did not believe for a second he had no protection. If he did not know about Clint Barton he would have believed the man. But, Clint in the MCU was a total badass in archery. The man could take an impossible shot and go through with it! He was dangerous.

"What do you want to talk about, MR Voice?"

"Name's Nick Fury. I am the director of Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement and Logistics Department. I have a quiet place we can talk," Fury told him. Godbrand nodded and followed Fury to a cafe. Just as he suspected, they say next to a window, probably to give a sniper or Clint a good view of them. He could see a few buildings that could potentially be where he was stationed but kept quiet about it, sat in front of the man, looking deep into his aging eyes.

"So, what do your department do? I've never heard of it," Godbrand asked.

"We make sure threats towards Earth are been handled but at the moment, handling threats towards the country of United States of America," Fury answered honestly. "Which is why we have you under great scrutiny."

"What do you mean? I am a human,"

"Yes, you are. We made sure we tested you thoroughly. However, we can not ignore the fact that that you appeared out of nowhere in the middle of a street, bloody. You scared everyone into believing you were a ghost. We found you in a hospital where they told us the blood was yours, infected with rabies but for some reason you did not have a single scar on your body."

"Well, I have a simple explanation for that, rabid dogs. Probably the worst pain I have ever encountered in my life. Feeling those teeth clamp on my flesh, tearing it apart in relish, I swear I felt two of them struggling with my balls. But, I have no recollection of how I got here at all or how I am not wounded at all." Fury stared at him for a few more seconds before sighing. He could not find any clue that he was lying so he decided to go along with the story.

"Alright, how about you tell me where you trained. I knew one man that can move like you and he died sixty two years ago," Fury continued questioning him.

"My training is very confidential but I will tell you this, I do not want to ever go through that, ever in my life!" Godbrand shuddered thinking of the training Sonic or Kamikaze did in order to get to the level they were at the moment. Fury sighed in contemplation. He wanted to know how this man trained to be at the level where SEAL and Marine trained combatants were quick work for him. Also, to cut through concrete and metal with a scalpel, that was anime level bullshit! "You are asking the wrong questions here, director."

"Am I?"

"Ohh, you're good. Almost fell in your trap, is what others would say. But, I am just going to shoot straight. Don't you want to know about where I, Godbrand Stillwell, have been ever since I was declared dead and why I am an adult instead of a child?" Fury's eyes showed all the excitement his face did not. "Do you believe in parallel universes, Director."

"Parallel universes?" Fury repeated in deep thought.

"I never studied it hard so I only know the bare bones. They are universes that mirror each other but sometimes have very different history. In this one it appears capitalism is still ongoing. Where I came from, if you were not holding a blade you are weak. I was brought up with that very notion in my head.

"Kunais, shurikens, throwing knives, western swords, katanas, I was taught how to wield them all and not fail. It was a world where the strongest ruled the world and I was not the strongest so I made a hasty decision that led to me been mauled to death by rabid dogs," Godbrand lied. But, Fury noticed his melancholy at the last sentence and somehow believed him. The trauma in his eyes showed it all. "In honesty, you can say you are the first human to have first contact with an alien."

False. Fury might have come into contact with Skrulls and Kree in the 90s but there were humans that did it earlier, the humans that were experimented on by the Kree. But, Fury did not need to know that. Looking at his face, Godbrand noticed he did not look remotely excited so he decided to troll him.

"Looking at your stoic face makes me feel somewhat underwhelmed. Here sits a man that is not from this reality and all you are thinking about is how to make him enter your organisation. It's almost as if you have dealt with aliens before," he said. Fury shifted uncomfortably in his seat. "You have, haven't you? Tell me, are they hot? Have curves a man can only dream of? Are they busty or have three breasts? We're their first reaction to you been human result in an anal probe?" Fury was now feeling uncomfortable as his control in the conversation was been stripped the more Godbrand spoke. In order to preserve it, he stood up and put his card on the table.

"We will be in contact, Mr Stillwell, do not run into any more trouble till we do," Fury warned him then walked away. Godbrand took the card, examined it before putting it into his trousers pocket.

'I should work for SHIELD. That way, the Ancient One will not see me as a threat towards Earth. I am powerful but not powerful enough to go and fight her,' Godbrand thought. 'Besides, been an Avenger sounds totally badass. Not to mention I might go after Wanda. Wait, no, no. She is too powerful. How about I just look for a Redroom wife? That sounds less stressful than having Wanda as a girlfriend. But, all in years time. Right now, I need to get myself a Vibranium nodachi and a katana. Probably not throwing knives or shurikens because he will not spend hours searching for them, so they might be made of steel. But, his katana and nodachi must be made of vibranium.

'Guess I should start searching for Ulysses Klaue. If I take him to Wakanda and in return they make me the katana and nodachi then it should be wonderful. No one but them have the means to turn Vibranium into weapons. Tony could but at the moment he could not trust the man to not use some of the Vibranium to make weapons,' Godbrand sighed. 'It's decided then. SHIELD will give me information and whereabouts of Klaue and in exchange I will work one case for them.' With that decided, Godbrand got out of the cafe and stretched.

'Now to look for an apartment,' he thought and headed out.
