Hunt -2

After the boar meat had been cut and wrapped up. Maverick stuffed them in his bag. He now had one out of three of the ingredients.

"After we find the next one, were leaving." said Daniel.

Before Maverick could say why, Daniel pointed toward the sky. The sun was coming down. They could only hunt one for now.

Walking through the woods, the two could hear distant shouts and snarls. It seemed to be a battle. Maverick was ready to sprint, but Daniel put his hand on his shoulder and shook his head. Maverick didn't care and ran towards the shouts anyway. Daniel sucked his teeth and followed suit.

Jumping over the bushes, the two could see one woman with green hair and leather armor using the power to control vines to attack two boars. One with a pelt that had some sort of blue vapor and the other with cackling electric currents running through its purple pelt. Her whips came from the ground and wrapped around the frost boar's leg making it squeal in panic. Behind her were two of her companions. One seemed to be injured on his leg and the other man was giving him water and using emergency aid.

Daniel ran into the fray, intending to attack the frost boar with his sword. But his sword was deflected by a shot of lightning. But that didn't stop Daniel from using his legs as he kicked the boar in the snout and chopped its head off while it was daze.

Meanwhile, Maverick tossed his Bee bomb at the incapacitated boar. The glass broke and the bees violently stabbed through its pelt, with only some dying from the frost vapor. Its muscles began to lock up as it dropped to the ground like a stuffed animal.

The woman finally took a long breath and deactivated her power. She then went to check on her teammates. The wounded man's leg was now wrapped up in bandages, but pain could still be seen on his face.

She kneeled and pulled her eyebrows together "How is doing?" She said in a soft tone.

"He gonna have a limp for a while but he's gonna be fine." The man said

"Shit." Said under her breath. She then approached Daniel and put out her hand.

"I'm Ciscra, you?" said as she flared her bangs

"Daniel." He then shook her hand firmly.

"A little help!" shouted from the background. Maverick was having trouble getting close to the electro-boar. Its electricity was covering the area, preventing him from using his knife.

"Let me." Ciscra summoned a vine, which jabbed inside the electro-boars eye. One could even hear the boar's brain being turned to mush.

"Stuffing bees into glass containers...clever." Said while Ciscra approached Maverick.

Maverick blushed and couldn't help but scratch the back of his head. "Thanks."

"But you need to be careful. If you throw a bomb too close to your companions it would be very counterproductive." Cisera lectured.

Daniel stepped up from behind "Actually the bees don't attack companions." Daniel approached the bees and even waved his hands at them. This put a confused look on Cisera and her party's faces.

"Since we killed both boars and saved your ass I think it's fair to say that we deserve a cut." Said Daniel crossing his arms.

"Sounds fair to me." Cisera did not complain a bit, but you could see the disappointment on her party's faces.

They helped the injured party member up and he had to use a crutch to make his way back to the gate. They all constantly asked questions about Maverick's ability to control bees and his shaman powers, other than Daniel as he stayed alert of his surroundings. He gave plenty of information but none of his recipes because he got tired of speaking.

Back behind the safety of the city gate Ciscera handed cards to Maverick and daniel. "If you ever need a party to join, mine is always open!"

"No. I don't want it." Daniel shoved the card back into her hand.

"Well how about you Maverick?" it was less enthusiasm in her voice.

"Sure! Im going to need more things in the future so this would be a huge help!"

"Splended!" Cisera jumped." Well i have to get my friend here medical aid so ill contact you when we are, ready to head out."

"That would be awesome!"

"But if you discover anything new about your powers let me know. Im vastly curious about the shamens capabilities."

Maverick waved goodbye. "Will do Cisera."

Cisera placed her hand on her chin.'That was an overall plentiful encounter. I gained lots of information on shamans. I just need to get the so-called recipes he has and I could make some money from selling it since he didn't seem like he wanted to sell, it shouldn't be a problem if I decide to."

A hand was placed on Cisera's shoulder, which caused her to jolt."Lost in thought again? Never mind, we got to get Tian to the hospital."

"Sorry, I'm coming." She said as she looked back at Maverick and Daniel's disappearing figure.

Meanwhile, in a relatively large mansion was Cisera. She was at a study table. She was documenting everything she learned from Maverick and Daniel. "A poor yet genius martial artist and a shaman who already discovered his abilities before anyone else could. It's a shame that I couldn't persuade both of them to join. He would be a great pawn in this game of the rich and powerful."
