"If given a chance, who would you rather, Daniel or me?" Owen asked. 

"Now that's a tough one." Chugging down the leftover champagne directly from the bottle, she said, "I need some time to think."

Refilling his shot glass, Daniel suggested, "Or you do us both together and save some time."

Her Double Trouble

When Emma stepped out of the building, Daniel was near his car, talking to someone over the phone. When he saw her, he hung up the call and approached her. 


“Is Josh still working?” he asked. 


She nodded. “Yes, he said he will leave soon.” 


“Alright then, let me give you a ride—” 


“That won't be necessary. I don’t want to trouble you. I will take a cab—” 


Not wanting to turn him down again, Emma reluctantly agreed. She didn’t mind him driving her home but after what had happened between them earlier in his office, she still felt a little awkward. She could still feel a weird tension between them which was very hard to ignore. 


Daniel on the other hand seemed quite normal which made her wonder if she was overthinking or overreacting. 


Shrugging off all the weird thoughts which were lingering in head since morning, she tried her best to act normal.
