Training continued smoothly, and before they knew it, four months had flown by. The four boys had practiced fervently, and they were on the cusp of breaking through. It was unknown whether they would become Nobles, or just remain as commoners.
At the current moment, they were all submerged in a special tube that contained a geno solution that fit the geno arts that they practiced. the geno solution's aim was to stimulate their genes the same way the geno solutions they practiced with did, and send their genes into overdrive. Only in that manner could they begin to generate a geno armament.
A host of people were watching over the enclosed chamber where the four boys under Maxwell's guidance were currently undergoing the process of generating their geno armaments. The observatory chamber was a simple enclosed room with white walls and a thick, reinforced, two way glass that separated those inside the room from those outside.
"These four boys are rather promising. Their rate of growth is surprising, and even their constant tests have shown that they are certainly the cream of the crop. There is a good chance of all of them becoming Nobles." A slim woman with a voluptuous body said, holding a clipboard to her chest as she spoke. Her name was Estelle, and she was Director Freeman's personal assistant.
"I can't say much about the others, but Rowan will definitely become a Noble. The chances of his geno armament being something special are also a bit higher than those of his friends. After all, he practices the geno arts of the prestigious Heart Family." Director Freeman said, while holding his cigar out to the side.
"The others are quite decent, though. Connor is the most likely to generate a geno armament after Rowan. His geno art is a custom made from the upcoming Hall Martial Arts Hall. The Hall Family is a recent competitor in the market of Martial Arts. Their latest projects have been rather innovating, and seek to eschew the norm of physical strengthening Martial Arts. They have mainly been releasing Marital Arts that seek to strengthen the mind, or that have to do with predictions. Connor is a wildcard in this case." Estelle said.
"Mhm. I hope he ends up being useful, though. The xenogenic spaces have been showing some increased activity lately, and the xenogenics within have been more frenzied. We will need strong Nobles to deal with them." Freeman mumbled.
"Next is Robin Wells. His family is just a small size one, but they have a rather consistent output rate of Nobles. They are mostly Viscounts and Barons, and only one of them have ever become an Earl. Even then, he was weak, and did not last long. The Wells Family's geno arts center around sonic powers, and Robin has followed down that path. There is a 30 percent chance that he will break through and become a Noble."
Freeman remained quiet. It seemed only Rowan and Connor were worth much in his eyes. The worth of their roommates were still in question, and he would only change his thoughts of them if they became Nobles.
"The most simple among the four is Elijah Gran. He comes from a simple family that has nothing of note to their history. He was scouted from Willow City, and has no significant accomplishments. Perhaps the only thing of note is his stellar grades." Estelle rounded up her report.
"That is the official report. Give me your own personal opinion." Director Freeman told Estelle without taking his eyes off the four boys in the enclosed room.
Estelle was quiet for a couple of minutes as she sorted her thoughts. She had already known that he would ask for her opinion, but she still had to personally watch the process of the boys trying to generate their geno armaments before coming to a final decision.
"From what I ca n see," She began, "Rowan has the best chances of becoming a Noble. The Heart Family has had a very steady and stable presence in the Black Gold Organization for a while now, and the talent displayed by their Nobles is not just from training. If I had to say, then their genes must be somehow superior. Because of those points, I believe Rowan's chances of becoming a Noble is at least 60 percent."
"As for Connor, I would say his chances were 40 percent at most. While the Hall Family also has a steady output of Nobles, the risk they are jumping into in the name of innovation is quite concerning. Connor's chances are not all that high in my opinion because of that."
"Robin's chances, I would say, are around 35-40 percent. If his genes are particularly good, then I would say that he might even have a 45 percent chance of becoming a Noble. There is no problem with his family, or geno art, but the chances of him becoming a Noble aren't too optimistic."
"And as for Elijah, I don't really have anything particularly optimistic to say about him. His chances are just like any random person's. He has a 15 percent chance of becoming a Noble. His geno art is a mass market product, and his genes are rather plain."
"I see... Thank you for your opinion. I thought mostly along those same lines." Director Freeman nodded his head and blew a puff of smoke.
As they spoke, the stimulation happening in the four tubes down in the enclosed chamber was reaching its climax. The colorful liquids began to bubble as the immediate substance around the boys were immediately disintegrated and drawn together to form a strange, unusual substance that resembled a cocoon.
"It's happening." The researchers and Nobles around put their full focus and attention on the tubes. The first one to show signs of change was Connor. The substance floating around him took on a white hue, and began to glow as it formed his geno armament.
"Everyone get ready!"
