Chapter One (The Begining)

It was a calm morning due to the rains that fell the day before, the tweets from the birds kept echoing from a distance while the trees danced to the the winds from the North Side of Adeke; Adeke is a peaceful Village that is filled with perky people!.

"Mson! Mson!!" Mama shouted from the other hut.

Mson lazily stood up while poking her eyes trying to clear the sleepy mode due to yesterday's fire wood breaking jobs. She took jobs from diverse households to be able to assist her family of five poor individuals in a small lovable community, She stepped outside her hut and walked straight to where Mama her mother was standing.

"Mama Good morning i hope you slept well is Papa still inside?'",Mson spoke out.

"If i didn't voiced your name heavily you wouldn't have been here ranting anyways you father Papa went into the forest to hunt for rats and i want to discuss a serious matter with you; bring the logs let's sit" Mama said as she pointed to it.

Mson hurriedly cleaned the logs with a torn wrapper dumped close to the hut for the purpose of wiping off dirty surfaces and set them down in front of her mother.

"Late at night Papa suggested that you should get married to Mike his bestfriend's son who just came back from the City and asked if he could have you as a Wife I also found his suggestion appealing". Mama spoke out with confidence.

"Mama since you started speaking i haven't interrupted because I have so much to fish out from this sudden talk and to make it short and clean Mama I'm just 17years i can't and i wont marry; maybe later but not now i work tirelessly to fund my own education without the support of you Mama, Papa and everyother person". Mson swallowed her spit immediately and faced down with endless voices in her head.

"i know this is sudden and uncalled for but you and i know we struggle to survive everyday my daughter, your father won't stop at anything untill you accept that marriage proposal" Mama gave Mson a pat with so much sympathy in her eyes; Mson couldn't stand the intense feeling she had so she stood up and scurried away in tears.
