Chapter Two (The Rendezvous)

"Mson I'm your father I can't deceive you marrying Mike will render you a lot of opportunities and in return you can aid us out of this condition we all are in at the moment; please my daughter accept my plead and get married to this young vibrant man, I overheard he has a duplex and two food processing companies in the City".He makes to kneel because despite he was a man of harsh temper what he was about to do wasn't pleasant in man and God's eyes; giving out his 17year old daughter out like a slave.

With compassion and empathy which covered Mson from head to toe she made way to stop Papa from putting a kneel on the wet floor filled with mud she lifted him back to his seat.

"As Long as I'll get a proper education at the end of the day Papa I'll fulfill your wish and get married to Mike". Mson spoke out.

A car horned from behind Mson's hut and revealed it flashy and glittering appearance which left Mson to stare while it drove closer to were the trio seated. A figure stepped foot out of the car with a fitted red short sleeve outfit that showed his strong arm with veins and his face was glamourous to behold.

"Indeed he is a handsome man" Papa said and smiled as he made way to shake hands with Mike's father Henry who stepped out from the other door of the car.

They exchanged pleasantries while Mama excused herself to go get palm wine and the bitter leaf food she prepared earlier for the rendezvous

"We brought everything you requested for in the List you gave and here is the Bride Price". Henry handed the Bride Price to Papa and turns to his son Mike.

"Mike my son my one and only take your woman to the backyard and have some chit-chat together with her okay?..." Henry said while he re-adjusted to have some man to man talk with Papa concerning further arrangements, Mike cuts in on them.

"Dad! huh c'mon you know I'm way… passed that level the backyard? sheesh! I will rather take my woman around the neighborhood in my Lexus. Talk to you later Dad!"Mike said as he entered inside the car while Mson follows with a wave at Papa from the other door.
