BLOOD IS THE LIFE

What is it that drives life in a person? Is it the heart, the brain or something else? Why are people human? From time immemorial, even as man evolved from other animals and acquired the first, truly hazy, awareness of himself, man began to think about himself, the purpose of his existence and the place under the sun. Truth could not devote much time to philosophizing because he was surrounded by numerous enemies in a harsh environment who measured and hunted him as tasty and easy prey. After many generations, he trod the path on which he walks firmly.

He gained the first knowledge that there is a liquid in him that means life by watching the cruel scenes of other people's dying, because he began to realize that when "that something red" is poured out of deep wounds, a person dies. However, it is only with the passage of centuries that the first pioneers in researching the secrets of man experiment, dissect, try, observe. How many unknown heroes lost their lives in search of answers? Is it an accidental anecdote about a philosopher who, after cutting the veins on his wrist and while blood and life flowed from it into the water, exclaimed "Blood is not water!".

People's consciousness was not yet at the level to grasp the true importance of the precious liquid. Little by little, there was a breakthrough in these researches as well. But, along with the progress of science, another "passion" developed. Passion for blood; both in fictional and sadly real life, the Vampire appeared. A terrible being of darkness, the undead, a demon in human form, who must drink human blood in order to survive in this world and live like that forever. In fact, through literary works, man wanted to dispel his fear of tyranny, to explain the last taboos of darkened consciousness. In reality, psychopaths have crossed that line, not caring about the consequences of their heinous crimes. Fortunately, the accelerated development of humanity has reduced such cases to a minimum.

Today, when medicine reveals the last, tiniest secrets of blood, that liquid life, we must more than ever become socially responsible and aware that at any moment, any of us may need that same blood and save a life. Action of all relevant institutions is needed to raise the awareness of the social community that voluntary blood donation is a kind of investment for the future, the most valuable legacy of every individual, because by giving we receive, we become united in a joint effort to give a new chance, a new life.

Because don't forget BLOOD MEANS LIFE!
