'A system filial, is this some kind of filial that the system has for me... well at this point, could I say no?' Langris told himself, 'yes activate,'
Right after, the orb started to glow more than previously, and it started emitting a weird cracking sound. It was like the orb was about to break.
On the other side of the arena, Ms. Morgana's expression was slowly turning into an astonished one.
Suddenly, at the top of the orb, a number that thunderstruck everyone appeared.
Ms Morgana was so surprised that she dropped her papers on the ground, and opened her mouth wide.
"6... 64, a Red tier score," She later whispered.
All the students let out a shriek of amazement wondering how on earth Langris had such a powerful filial.
"Wait, when the fuck did Langris have a filial,"
"Was he hiding this since the beginning,"
"I knew there was something off about him, a member of the 5 most powerful families couldn't be this weak!"
Even Rayzen was surprised by the score because they were close friends with Langris, so if he had a filial, he would tell him.
< Congratulations, you have obtained the system filial >
< Rewards >
< filial stat >
< 10 stat points >
'10 stat points, and filial stat?' Langris told himself, 'Having a filial stat, does that mean that I'll be able to use Zeal energy now, and activating this system filial, will it be like all other filials, or will it be different,'
He walked back to the pile of students, but this time, everyone rushed to him, asking him questions about his filial.
"Wow Langris, you had a strong filial all this time and you haven't even told us?" Frisk exclaimed.
"What type of filial do you have for it to be this powerful?"
The students started to bombard him with questions at a point Langris couldn't even hear any of them anymore.
"Everyone stay calm!" Ms. Morgana suddenly exclaimed.
She looked at Langris with a straight and unphased expression, and even if she didn't want to admit it, she was even more surprised than the others by the fact he had a filial.
"Congratulations, Langris Wranven, you have scored 64 points," She then said in a dissatisfied tone.
For now, Langris had 99 points, and all he needed was 21 more points to pass the test.
"You've got a chance now!" Rayzen said patting Langris on the back, "but tell me, what is that filial of yours?"
Exposing his powers in such a way was maybe not the best idea, but this was his only chance to actually get filial powers. Plus, if he didn't he would have failed his exam. Langris thought that it was better to do things when you have the chance, rather than waiting when you are not even sure the opportunity might come again.
For now, the good point was that he had sort of had a filial, but the bad one was that his whole class witnessed him show a red tier filial.
"Moving on to the combat test!" Ms. Morgana continued.
During that time, Langris decided to take care of a few points in his stats.
< Strength 2 >
< Agility 6 >
< Durability 3 >
< Stamina 2 >
< Filial 0 >
< Stat Points 10 >
'Alright, so for now, my agility has proved to be very useful, but my Stamina and durability were not as good. Plus, I might need to upgrade my Strength as well. Oh, I nearly forgot that I have a new stat as well, filial... The good thing is that I've got a lot of Stat Points to spare, so I'll start by adding one stat point to each stat first,'
< Strength 3 >
< Agility 7 >
< Durability 4 >
< Stamina 3 >
< Filial 1 >
< Stat Points 5 >
'Well then, now what am I supposed to do with the 5 other stat points, my durability is still trash, and my Stamina still needs some improvement, but leaving my filial at one would be a great mistake as well, because for now, I don't know when and how I can get stat points, so no need to make stupid choices. For now, I'll add an additional stat point to my strength, stamina, and durability, and wait to get more info on the filial stat point before adding the 2 last stat points to it,'
each stat first,'
< Strength 4>
< Agility 7 >
< Durability 5 >
< Stamina 4>
< Filial 1 >
< Stat Points 2 >
As he was adding points to his stats, a few fights had already passed, and it was already Rayzen's turn.
"Rayzen Hurd against Elyon Turrie! Please, I would like both students to enter the arena," Ms. Morgana said.
Elyon Turrie had the Water elemental filial, and his filial tier showed to be a blue tier, against Rayzen who had blue tier earth elemental filial just like him,"
Both students entered the arena and were on each end of it waiting for the countdown.
Rayzen had 114 points, so it was already confirmed that he would pass the exam, but he wanted a higher final score so he could have a better chance of getting accepted into an academy.
Waiting for the fight to start, a countdown appeared above the arena starting from 3,2,1, Fight!!!
Immediately after, Elyon launched 2 large water spikes, as sharp as a real sword at Rayzen.
The latter attempted to block the two spikes by summoning a wall of rock from the arena's ground.
The water spikes hit the wall piercing through it, and nearly hitting Rayzen if he hadn't rolled sideways to avoid them.
"As long as I use sharp attacks, you won't be able to block them with your earth filial, all I have to do is overwhelm you with my long-distance attacks!"
After he said that, he summoned 5 more water spikes, and launched them once again.
Rayzen started sprinting sideways in order to avoid the spikes that were dashing at him, and at the same time, he summoned four rock sphere balls the size of a human and launched one of them at Elyon.
Elyon caught by surprise focused all of his water spikes to destroy the rock ball, and rayzen took advantage of that to close the distance gap between them.
"It's my turn to attack,"
When Elyon managed to destroy the rock ball with his water spikes, Rayzen launched another one to close the gap even more.
"Damn it!" Elyon shouted as he saw the other ball coming at him, "I can't be wasting all my energy on these rock balls!"
Once again, he focused all of his spikes on the ball to destroy, and once the job was done, he saw that right behind the ball he had destroyed was another rock ball.
This time, his reaction time was too slow, and he got hit directly by the rock ball sending him flying meters away and landing on very side of the arena,"
As long as he wasn't outside the arena, the fight still continued.
Elyon slowly stood back up, and the left side of his face was drooling of blood.
"You'll pay for-" Before he could even finish his sentence, he saw another rock ball coming his way.
This time, he didn't even move and try to avoid the attack, and let the ball hit him once again launching him out of the arena, and hitting the wall surrounding the place brutally. He was knocked out cold.
"Congratulations Rayzen, you have won with a score point of 60," Ms. Morgana said, "Do not worry about Elyon, the medics will take care of him,"
Suddenly two men, with white long clothes, a white fox mask, and a white cape to cover their heads appeared.
"These people surely have teleportation filial," Langris whispered.
They both grabbed Elyon by both arms to transport him to the medic center.
To teleport someone who doesn't have the teleportation filial, the one that possesses the filial must be in contact with the person that doesn't have the filial. This way, both will be able to teleport.
"Hey, Elyon," Rayzen said before Elyon left, "Spamming moves won't work if you don't have a strategy in mind already,"
