For a moment, Langris stayed quiet and looked at Rolem who had an amused expression on his face.
"Hold on, so you guys can see the tab?" Langris exclaimed, "If you could see it, then why didn't you guys just tell me since?"
"I don't think the others see it, but I can see the portrait that always appears in front of you at the moment you eat. It happened in the morning, and this night as well, but I decided to keep quiet, because it seemed like something you didn't want to speak about, so after you passed the exam, and your statement of wanting to do things alone, I assumed this was a new sort of filial that hasn't been discovered yet, and you wanted to keep this a secret for now,"
With a baffled face, Langris tried to process what Rolem had said, and he let out a big sigh of relief after. He was relieved that Rolem out of all of them was the one who had discovered the system.
'At this point, I don't think I have to hide anything anymore,' Langris told himself before telling Rolem the whole story.
After about 20 minutes, he had told Rolem the integrality of what had happened from the angel to the system he had obtained.
Once he had heard everything, Rolem had a serious expression and showed a great composure despite hearing everything Langris had said.
If it wasn't for the fact that messages were popping out in front of Langris, he wouldn't have believed a single thing that he had just heard.
"Is that the reason you think you don't need help because you've got the system to help you?" He said emphasizing his tone when he said "the system".
"It's not that, but I don't need anyone to start asking themselves questions that I cannot answer for now," Langris replied, "let's be honest, all this story of the angel and all that would be considered nonsense if you don't witness the system for your own eyes,"
"Well in both cases, I would've always supported you, and helped you get better. Even today, if I can be of help for that system of yours, then count on me,"
In the middle of their conversation, they were interrupted by the coming of aunt Tirinia who walked up on them.
"What are you two talking about in the middle of the night outside?" She asked.
They both nervously giggled and looked away from her eyes.
"If you're talking about girls there is no problem, I could even help you, I used to have quite the experience with relationships when I was your age," She said replying to their silence.
"It's not about girls mother! Stop thinking such things for crying out loud," Rolem exclaimed with red cheeks.
"It's ok to have a relationship at a young age Rolem, plus, you are talented and a member of the Wranven family, so I'm sure you will have some success if you just try..."
"I don't need a relationship right now mother, all I want is to get into the Zixons academy for now!" Rolem answered.
"Alright, if you say so..." Tirinia replied with a leery expression, "By the way, your father is waiting for you in his chambers, so don't make him wait too long!"
After she had said that, she left the two youngsters alone once again.
"Langris, someday, at the plantation field, we can train together if you want, and I can help you learn more about your system if you want?" Rolem said.
"Well... I don't see any problem with that," Langris replied.
"You don't have to do this alone," Rolem said before entering the estate to meet with his father.
At the same time, now that Rolem had left, Langris sat back on one of the stairs and decided to deal with the new stat points he had obtained.
< Strength 4>
< Agility 7 >
< Durability 5 >
< Stamina 4>
< Filial 1 >
< Stat Points 5 >
'I think I should add two stat points to the filial stat, I don't want any large stat point difference anyways, but let me take care of the other 3 stat points first. I already know that I will add a stat point to Stamina, and I also want to add a stat point to agility as well, but should I add a stat point to Durability or Strength,'
Langris wanted to be quick, and untouchable, but eventually, he would always get hit by his opponent. On the other side, even if he is fast enough to dodge, he won't do any damage, if he doesn't have enough strength. In other words, his agility and stamina would be useless if all he can do is a dodge.
'I'll add a stat point to Strength for now, and anyways, stat points are not very hard to get, so I'll be able to add a point in Durability eventually, but for now, I want this destructive power that will make my opponents fly to the skies and land brutally on the ground. This is why I need to focus on adding more strength,'
< Strength 5>
< Agility 8 >
< Durability 5 >
< Stamina 5>
< Filial 1 >
< Stat Points 2 >
'Now for the last two stats, I will add them to the Filial stat,'
< Filial 3>
< Stat Points 0 >
When he added the Filial stat point, another message came, this time depicting a dazzling silver metal chain with a little and sharp dagger-shaped item at the end of the chain.
At the bottom of the picture was a name and some information about the weapon,
< Nirvana chains >
< Requirement: 2 Filial Stat Points, 6 Strength stat points >
< One of the numerous weapons used by the mighty angel Ludocius. These chains are holy and charged with pure energy. It can penetrate through anything, including mountains, if powerful enough. To make it more powerful, you must improve your weapon skill as well as your strength. >
'Nirvana Chains huh... and from what they say, Filial stat is not needed to make it stronger. I understand the Filial stat is only used to unlock skills, not to make your skills stronger. This will mean that I will have to upgrade this stat every time,"
"Langris, come inside, it's getting cold, plus the chef cooked a meal made from the Garpek race!" Morlith shouted peaking his head out of the entrance door.
"I'm on my way!" Langris replied.
'I have to check one last thing before,' Langris thought, 'show me the strength quest!'
< Strength quest >
< Chop 50 wooden logs >
< Progress 0% >
< Reward: 50exp, 1 strength stat point, Fitter physical appearance >
'Chopping 50 wooden logs... For fucks sake,'
Morlith who was still peeking his head, and looking at Langris was starting to get more and more confused.
"What the fuck is this fool doing?" Morlith whispered, "Is this another consequence of puberty or something?"
"Langris, are you coming yes or no!?" Morlith then shouted impatiently.
"Oh I'm sorry, here I am!
