No Reason - Chapter 8

Alan heard the words of Pandora and took a deep breath.

He did not expect these kinds of missions at all. It seems like being an executioner means being a killer for Pandora, specializing in killing other humans and taking the mission.

Alan knew that he would be shaken up because of these words from Pandora, but he also knew he needed to do it.

"Pandora, if I were to not kill these people, what is the punishment?"

Alan asked.

Pandora answered directly.

"Punishment is the mandatory execution of the user."

"If the user does not complete missions until the time ends, the user will cease to exist by Pandora."

Alan knew a rule like this would exist. If so, there is a high chance that he would not complete the mission.

He is still having a hard time accepting the fact that he needs to kill other humans to survive. But he knows that if this is the only way he can survive, there is nothing else he can do.

Humans are fascinating creatures; when it comes to survival, they would be taken aback and then seek explanations for their actions.

Alan is right now making the fact that killing humans is an acceptable thing because he does not have any other choice. In a simple perspective, he is right, but it is still selfish to think so.

But it is a well-known fact that humans are selfish.

-

Alan stopped his thoughts on the matter of killing humans.

He knows there is no point for him to think about whether killing is right or wrong.

He will do it anyway for his survival.

He needs to think of how to complete it. It is simple to know that if he wanted to kill these people, he needed to take a risk.

As such, it is only to be expected. If he wants to kill somebody and attacks them with lethal force, they will be attacking him to kill.

Alan knew that it was not like in movies; people would not just stand and wait to be murdered.

He also knew that most of the movies underestimated humans in the matter of being murdered.

A human who encounters the danger of being killed finds it too dangerous.

They will do everything to save their lives. They will do almost anything to save their lives.

Most of them are not going to freeze if they are not killed directly.

Alan has to think about these things. They are simple but important.

"I need to get close to them. In a full-frontal battle I will have problems. I don't know what they are capable of."

Alan made a simple plan in his mind.

-

"Hey!"

Alan shouted, gathering the attention of Marcus and Ralia.

Marcus and Ralia looked at Alan, who had left his cave.

They were both giving their full attention to Alan. Their senses were heightened to the point that there was no way for Alan to surprise any attack.

Alan notices all of these things and keeps talking.

"I am Alan. I am hiding in this cave for the duration of the mission." At first, I was going to hide here, but I cannot risk encountering you guys in a different place or different situation where we may both find ourselves as enemies. "

"These reasons are enough for me to try to talk with you guys."
