Fireplace - Chapter 9

Marcus and Ralia listened to the words of Alan, and they both looked at each other and nodded.

Alan's words made sense; if he waited any longer and showed up later, they would be more suspicious of him.

"I am Marcus and this is my friend Ralia. We would like to thank you for showing yourself."

Alan nodded and then started talking.

I have enough food and water sources. That is one of the reasons why I am showing myself. I have enough food and water to last three of us without any problems for two days. "

"All of these things show that we would have no reason to fight with each other, as it does not bring any profits."

As Alan said these words, he was laughing in his mind.

"It does not bring any profits to you, but I do have some profits to kill you."

Hearing that Alan has enough food for the last three of them for two days, Ralia and Marcus are overcome with a primal urge to stop anything they do and have a good time.

Human minds are easily broken under pressure, and if a person is hungry enough, they will worship the one who satisfies their hunger.

Alan started preparing a camp-fire on the outside of the cave for cooking the Iron Bark Deer.

Marcus asks Alan a question about seeing Iron Bark Deer meat.

"How did you hunt a creature that counts as magical?"

Alan looks at Marcus and answers.

"It is simple. I used simple tactics, threw my spear first and then finished it with my sword."

Marcus nods and asks.

"Did you have any hunting experience prior to that which we have transported here?"

Alan shook and answered.

"No, I did not actually. I am just a university student."

Alan laughed as he cooked the meat.

Ralia did not speak much as her mind was on the cooked meat.

Alan cooked the meat and gave one stick to Marcus and Ralia.

Ralia looks at Alan before eating the meat and speaking.

"Alan, I have to say that I do not know you, but, thank you."
