Do Not Trespass!

"Hold on, Lucian!" Alvin called which made Lucian stop the horse. "Quit your stubbornness and let's take them to the town, they might escape and you would end up eating grasses."

Yeah, grasses! Lucian's mind grunted as he stopped. He looked back, "Right now, I might change my mind should there be any delay."

Hearing how he complained, Cole nodded at Ida and they both walked to the horse, her wrist still chained. When she was about to climb the horse first, Alvin stopped her.

She looked at him with her eyes already dimming. She was so famished that every flesh she was starting to see now looked appetising. Right now, Alvin looked like a big fried cow, she shook her head to reconstruct her vision. "Witch, you both can't stay on one horse, you will need someone to help with the illusion."

"Meaning?" Cole asked, he did not even understand one bit of what was happening but he had stylishly asked Ida and she had told him that she would explain once there was enough time, but right now, he should just follow her wherever she goes to.

Alvin looked at him then sighed, "Meaning, each of you has to share one horse with us."

"I'm not sharing one with that bleeding hell!" Ida immediately stated.

Alvin looked at Lucian who stared at Cole, "We are to catch a witch, not a muggle!"

"Right, fine. But I don't trust you both with myself!"

"What?" Lucian questioned. He stared at her from head to toe and acknowledged, "Who do I look like to you? Do I look like one who is gonna assault a child like you?"

"You think she is a child?" Cole blurted and Ida looked at him with a frown. Ignoring her reaction, Cole increased his proximity with her and questioned, "do you mean what you said the other time?"

"What?" Ida smoothened her hair.

"About the monster stuff?"

Ida looked sideways before looking at him back, "You are a muggle, it is my duty to protect you."

"It's the other way round," Cole protested.

"Oi Come with me. Cole, with Lucia."

"What? That's impossible!" Cole exclaimed.

Ida looked between Cole and Lucian and wondered what kind of human picks a fight with everyone. Wait... mayhaps, he wasn't a human. The only reason she was following the two men was because of the task she was going to handle. All these men made it easy for her. It was now not a big issue to cross the beasts' land now that they were with them. And she also wanted to give that man in red stupid clothes a hard time. Amidst all that, the thing she was most concerned about was the forbidden oracle.

If that forbidden oracle was just an illusion, it would have disappeared along with the Pavilion, Lucian would not have been worked up seeing her spy at the oracle, the real thing was that there wouldn't have been any reason to create a forbidden oracle.

And also, the main reason she wanted Cole to tag along wasn't that she wanted him to help her with the task, it was because he was a muggle and he would be really useful if she needed blood to fulfill her tasks.

"I will go with Lucian."

Lucian looked everywhere but her, "Who bears such a name?" He hopped down from the horse to take a good look at each of them. He stopped at her, "You are Lucian?"

Alvin sighed and hit him on the head, "Quit acting like a child! You are almost an adult!"

Ida looked at Lucian with widened eyes, "So, this whack of a thing is not even an adult yet. No magic he is behaving in such a childish way."

Lucian glared at Alvin, his hand curling into a big fist, "Alvin!"

It was Cole's time to react, "You... so...you are still a child and you dear disrespect and adult?"

"Who is an adult here? You?" Lucian asked Cole as he came forth to land him a heavy blow. Cole had already seen his action before he even attempted, so he instead held his fist and gave him a hard one on his cheek.

"Stop Cole!" Ida was the one who shouted. She hurriedly walked to Lucian with a concerned expression on her face, "Are...you okay?"

"Get the hell away from here!" He said to Ida while he prepared to stand up to fight Cole.

Ida looked frightened. She did not want anything to happen to Cole, he was going to be the person she would derive blood from. "Shit! Bleeding hell! Alvin do something! He is got blood enough." She sounded deeply concerned for Lucian.

Alvin separated the both of them and whispered something into Lucian's ear which made him walk to his horse and climb. "Sit, would you?" He questioned Ida, not looking at her face.

"I'm supposed to sit at the front."

Alvin shook his head, "No. The taller sits at the front. This is for the illusion to work, you don't expect the beasts to believe their back is heavier or longer than their head."

Understanding what he said, Ida forwarded her hands to him.

"What?" Alvin questioned.

"Free me."

"N-"

"You don't expect me to fling away from the horse, do you? Besides those beasts are terrifying, I might need to hold someone." She looked up at Lucian who was licking his blood off his lips.

"Yeah, right. You are concerned about the oracle, so you won't dare to escape."

Alvin unlocked the chain and Ida slowly climbed on the horse too.

Cole was the taller and he was supposed to sit at the front while Alvin sits at the back but Alvin refused. "He doesn't know the way, he would block my view."

"I will just take that son of a stick route."

"No, man. Sometimes, we will have to split ways. Beasts do not go hands in hands," Alvin replied and they both settled down on the horse.

"No...you mean we will pathways soon? With this bleeding hell?" Ida asked, fear striking off her voice.

No one said anything and both riders pulled the reins.

"So, witch. If you know you want to be alive, do not trespass."

"You too," Ida replied Lucian.
