"Where is my sister, mum? I won't calm down till I find her!" A fifteen year old boy sat down on the floor his eyes red from the tears that had already been stuck on his chin. He wiped it off with his sleeve and stood up from the floor to walk to his mother who was busy applying makeups, "Mum, where is she? It has been two years since I saw her with her mother why isn't she here again, mum!"
Allyson dropped her kit and glared at her son, "Why are you asking me foolish questions? She is not your sister, okay? Your little sister is in my womb!"
"I don't care about the one in your womb, mum. I care about the one outside probably under unsheltered building with her sick mum. I remember vividly that very day. You told dad to send them away because you think they will take over dad's property," the boy said it straight without even stopping or taking a breath for a second.
Allyson's eyes remained the same, she looked like she was used to all the yarning that she didn't even rise to discipline the boy for saying harsh words. Well, they weren't harsh words as they were true.
The boy kept talking but all his words fell on deaf ears. When Allyson was done with dressing her face, she stood up and carried her bag.
Allyson was the wife of the business tycoon Mr Kenneth Justin, the present CEO of Kilzo Food And Beverages Limited which was ranked the most popular food company in the states. Rumours had it that she wasn't legally married to the CEO but when she heard the rumours, she had dramatically told her supposed husband to start a wedding ceremony so that there would be justification to those bloggers who insist on writing fake news.
"Let's go, boy. Your dad said he would take you to your school for the first time, isn't that lovely. And also I would attend your PTA despite my condition, you have people who cherish you so be happy about that okay? So let's go." Allyson walked towards the bedroom door but was surprised and frustrated when she saw her son still sitting on the bed meaningless, "It has been two years now since she left and you are just thinking about it now? What the hell is wrong with that little brain of yours? Do you want to end up killing me and my baby?" She asked, one of her hands rubbing smoothly on her protruding stomach.
Allyson had done everything to become pregnant for the CEO, she knew the CEO loves her which was the reason he agreed to marry her and also adopt her son who was fatherless, she wasn't really satisfied after everything until she became pregnant. Still, she was confused why her husband wasn't happy that she was pregnant.
"It's PTA, students are not to come to school, mum."
"I know, your father is going to drop you at one of the tourists center with someone to look after you. I heard that many of your dad's friends' kids would be there and I want you to mingle with them."
"Mum, I don't even care about whatever you are doing. All I want is my sister. I had a dream that something bad happened to her, do you know what it means if father hears about it?"
"Ronnie, boy." Allison left the door's handle and slowly walked to him, her mind thumping hard, "Hush... I don't want you to mention it, okay?"
Ronnie shifted a little from the bed before sighing, "Mum don't act this way. I am an heir so don't you worry about the property, the only thing we should think of is my sister. She is in danger. That is all I know. The dream was scary. I saw how scary creatures took her away and left her mother homeless, she is in a real danger. I think I should help dad find her. Dad also has been looking for her and I bet he would be glad if he hears that I might know where they are."
"Boy..." Allyson sat down beside her son and dropped the soft drink she had been sipping from a while ago, "It's dangerous."
"You don't need to remind me."
"But it is. Do you know how many men that your dad sent to find her and they ended up dying?"
"How so? Who would kill them just because they are looking for my sister?"
Allyson rolled her eyes and muttered, "I have been blind all these days. I could have cut their ties."
Ronnie heard what his mother said but stood up nevertheless. He walked to the door and then halted, "You should have but it is too late."
"Ronnie. Get prepared and let's go now, I have no time to chitchat with you any longer."
"Same here, I am kinda done with the whole chitchatting and I am going to find out myself. I am going to find out why the men had never come back and while she is not allowed to leave her hair uncovered, I recall how she battled with the whole hair issue in school. I feel like there is more to all these things and as her big bro, I would help her out." Ronnie turned his head and he stared at the door before taking a deep breath. All he wanted to do was to find his little Delilah.
How could he have almost forgotten about her? If not for the dream, he wouldn't have even remembered his little sister. He felt a bit guilty.
"Stop behaving like a bastard, Ronnie and get your ass down here."
Ronnie hand held the door's handle and he twisted it, "I'm off mum-" he was shocked when he saw his father standing at the front of him. He smiled sheepishly and bowed, "Good morning, dad."
"Ronnie, tell me about your dream."
Hearing Justin's voice, Allyson widened her eyes and stood up abruptly. What the hell was this?
"Dad-"
"Tell me, Ronnie. You know how desperate I am to find your sister, so please do tell me."
Ronnie's face changed and he looked back at his mother whose face was stricken with horror before facing back at his father, "Yes, dad. I prefer talking about it somewhere else."
Justin nodded and spaced out so that Ronnie exited the room before he locked the door himself leaving Allyson inside.
Seeing the door close on her she shouted , "Wait honey, I thought we were going to the PTA meeting."
Justin replied her by shouting back, "Just two seconds."
Allyson threw the drink she had been sipping from, she squeezed her hands into a fist and before she knew it, her fingernails grew longer.
She breathed hard and did her best to hide them beneath the bedsheets, not after letting out a heavy grunt in pain.
