Hunch

A cold front swept across the land as they journey from Wyndham Laboratories to the base. Zyra was grateful for the excessive body heat that both ratbeasts generated as she was sandwiched snugly between the both of them.

After weeks of the temperature being unbearably hot the cold weather was a refreshing change. Every now and again the truck would slide into a pothole and wake Zyra up. Leon would ask her if they were still on the right track and she would assure him that they were just as long as they didn't turn off until they reached a fork in the road.

Then they would make a right turn and keep going straight. It was hard to see the pothole because of the rain and the fog that followed in the inclement weather. It rained nonstop and the road was covered with water up to ankle length.
