See the Lightning In Your Eyes

Shuule held her breath, feeling her skin start to pebble under the fear of rejection. It didn't matter how much she knew that none of the males - at least none of her males - would ever pass up an opportunity to be with her in any capacity, there was still just a constant, thrumming anxiety that something about her was inadequate.

Ukko reached up one hand to stop her from shrinking back in defeat, a single finger pressed to her lips. He just wanted a moment to look at her, all of her. He trailed the finger slowly down her chin, her neck, her collar bone - trying not to wince at the bold snake staring at him as a reminder that Set was always present, even if his physical body wasn't.

Instead, he changed course, moving his fingers over her breast, making her shiver, before landing his hand on her left shoulder, his hand stroking his own mark with his thumb, before he took his other arm and wrapped it around his mate, pulling her up against him.
