Memories II

" How could you do this Dad? He is just a little kid," Joseph screamed at his father as he took his younger brother in his arms.

" He is a spoiled brat and you are responsible for that. You were supposed to groom them to be perfect for my company but you're spoiling them because of my absence," His father screamed back at him infuriated.

" He is your son and not just your heir, that should always come first before anything. I understand your hatred for me, I don't understand why you will want to extend it to your little son," Joseph replied as anger built up inside of him.

" I see all of you as the same and the sooner you know that, the better. You all are my worst mistake and I don't see you as my sons because you all are not qualified to be so stop pampering this kid and make sure he gets an education, I need to know that my company will be in good and capable hands when I leave this world," his father replied, flaring up.

"Every time your company, is that the only thing you think about? We are all your sons but you've treated us like an ailment, why are you so cruel Dad? Why do you hate us so much?," Joseph asked with contempt as he stared at his Dad, who had nothing but hate in his eyes.

" What makes you think you can talk to me like that Joseph? And Yes! My business is more important to me than the lots of you so you all need to work your asses off if you want to run my business in the future," His Dad replied before walking out of the room leaving him lost for words. He was still trying to comprehend the hate in his father's eyes when he heard little Jeremy sobbing beside him.

" Hey champ, you don't have to let Dad get to you boy. One day, when you're grown he is not going to ever try to hit you again and as of now, I will protect you from him so don't cry my boy," Joseph said as he wiped his tears away.

" I want to go to school now big brother, I don't want to miss school ever again," little Jeremy replied and it broke his heart to see his baby brother hurt by his father.

" I'll take care of him, Joe," Mama Perri said to him and little Jeremy rushed into her hands.

" Please help me watch over him, my Dad might be in town for a while," Joseph replied, she nodded and took him away.

Remembering what happened that day made him feel like he was struck in the heart with a knife and his hatred for his father grew.

" I'm not going to end up like you Dad, bitter and alone. You are a monster and I am nothing like you," Joseph muttered under his breath before walking out of the hospital.

" I've been going through all their credentials and I still haven't found the perfect person for our brother," Justin complained bitterly, tired from everything.

" How could you think of something like this? You know you can't just employ anyone to walk with our brother. Did you think it was going to be easy?" Jeremy replied as he picked a resume from the group.

" Well I brought up the idea to take the heat away from you and your Blondie, you should be grateful so instead of sitting there and whining, you can join me in looking for the perfect person," Justin responded with a frown.

" Okay bro, but instead of just going through their resumes, why don't you invite a few for a personal interview?. I can assure you that these papers we're holding will not show how fully qualified they are," Jeremy responded as he picked up another file from the table.

" That's a great idea, I have this week free. I can schedule an interview with the chosen few and pick our person from there, nice work Jerry," Justin teased and Jeremy frowned.

" This file looks good, she graduated from one of the best universities in the city. You should add her to the list," Jeremy said as he stared at the file in his hands before passing it to his brother.

" Yeah, you're right. She also has good working experience. Let's lookout for a few more and I'll arrange for the interview with them," Justin replied as he placed the file aside.

" Do you think your plan will work? Making him work with a female might just make him worse especially if she tries to throw herself at him," Jeremy said, worried.

" Oh Jeremy, you worry too much. Let me handle this, leave it all to me. I will know the right person when I see her," Justin responded with a smile.

" What about our brother? You're technically forcing this plan on him, what if he's awful to her and she decides to leave the job. What would we do then? Hire more people that would run because of his attitude?"  Jeremy asked with a very serious face.

"As I said earlier, I have a plan and I know what I'm going to do. It's not going to be easy but this plan will work," Justin assured him.

" Okay bro, if you say so please don't call me Jerry. I hate it," Jeremy pleaded as his brother laughed.

" It will be so much fun if I call you that in front of your Blonde," Justin teased and he frowned his face in anger.

" Don't you dare try it," Jeremy warned with a serious tone?

"Okay bro, I won't if you don't get me angry,"  Justin laughed as he saw the look of anger on his brother's face.

"Are we going to focus on looking for the right lady for this job or my name Justin," Jeremy asked, almost red in anger.

" I would love to do the first but the latter is more important so let's focus on what we're doing," Justin replied, still maintaining his smirk.
