Erin wanted to give her daughter, Charlie, a normal childhood, but Charlie isn't a normal child. Charlie and her mother are both witches. After escaping government captors, Erin gave birth on the run and spent many years moving Charlie from town to town to avoid being locked up and experimented on. When Charlie started high school, Erin made a promise they wouldn't move again until she had graduated. Now, they've made it to senior year without issue but when a new kid shows up at school, Charlie notices something strange about him. In order to uncover the truth, she begins acting out of character and going behind her mother's back to handle everything on her own. Charlie's reckless behavior opens the door for trouble to quickly find them once again. With Erin as her teacher, Charlie still has a lot to learn before she is ready to face the unknown evils that have been after them for all these years.

“Do you mind waiting for me? I want to go say bye to my friends real quick,” I ask my mom before we make it to the car.


“Oh, sure. I’ll just wait in the car, and check my email," She responds and waves me off to talk to my friends.


“Great, thanks!” I say then jog over to my friends. 


“Hey! Great job!” Emily’s parents compliment me.


“Thank you! It was so much fun!” I make small talk then her parents leave us to mingle for a bit. “Well, I have to get home. I’ll see you guys tomorrow,” I say to Emily and Elizabeth then turn to Max, “you coming out for day two of homecoming?” I ask Max when Emily and Elizabeth walk away.


“Oh, I don’t know. Today was a lot,” Max comments and he laughs, I laugh as well. 


“Hey, we can pick you up on the way here?” I offer up a ride with myself and Emily. It would be good to see where he lives, maybe meet some family members, and just get to know him a little better. He’s still mysterious and having an unknown factor in my life is not safe.
