Chapter 14

Max’s room looks like what I would imagine any normal teenage boy’s room would look like. That is what bothers me. I don’t know Max very well but I would have expected his room to look a little differently. The room looks almost staged. I take a minute to stand in one place and look around the room, taking it all in. I scan for any signs of security or cameras. Nothing that I can tell but just to be safe, I use my energy to create my haze. Using it twice in one day is draining me, I can’t stay here too long.

I start my investigation with the large bookshelf against the wall. I skim over all the books and find your usual collection, especially for a relatively smart high school student. Nothing too unusual there. There are a few knick-knacks on the shelves too but again, there doesn’t seem to be anything personal. The shelf just looks like what you would assume is in a high school, almost college, boy’s room.
