Cohen's lips crashed into mine.
His hands grabbed my hips and he hoisted me onto his lap without ever breaking our kiss. His
grip on my hipbones was strong and forceful and his lips matched.
I pressed my palms against his chest and curled my fingers into him. He was rock hard all over,
and I loved the feel of his muscles under my hands.
Our lips moved against each others at a frantic pace.

I leaned forward in my chair and steepled my fingers with my elbows on the desk. Izzy sat on the other side of the desk and stared back at me with a patient expression.


I didn’t like having women in my office where they could do anything they wanted, but this was a necessary evil.


“You’re going to follow Kate around and keep her out of trouble,” I said.


Izzy’s eyes widened. “What if I fail?”


“I expect you probably will, but I need you to try your best.”


Izzy was a capable vampire, I could admit that, but Kate was a mischievous little terror that I doubted anyone could get a handle on.


Izzy nodded and I jerked my head towards the door. She stood and left my office.


I hated all women in general, but I really hated Kate. She’d almost gotten Ellie seriously hurt or killed.


Not only that, but every day she managed to make Ellie look bad. Like she was incapable of managing her sister.
