COHEN
Lance parked the SUV a few blocks away from the warehouse and we moved through alleyways and shadows until we were just a block away and could see the front door.
A sense I couldn't name or understand was nagging at the back of my mind and tugging on my chest, but I forced myself to focus on the task at hand. I refused to be the reason that good people died today.
Beside me, Dominic sniffed the air. "King..." He trailed off, scenting the air harder and turning his head different directions to get a better whiff.
Nia scanned the area, trying to figure out what her mate was smelling, but my eyes were focused on him.
That niggling in my head grew stronger and my chest clenched hard.
Ellie. Something was wrong with her.
I opened up the mate bond to her and was slammed with the knowledge that she was here.
I whirled to face the warehouse and every muscle in my body clenched as white-hot rage filled me.
"Ellie is in the building. Surround it and go in now."
