Klaus had happily left for the Kingdom of Elves from his mansion, Klaus was taking his time enjoying all this
"The fields look very good, it seems like people here will be getting quite the harvest this time..."
Elena muttered while completely avoiding the Sun rays inside the carriage while looking outside
Klaus nodded in approval and replied with a big smile
"Indeed, the year seems good for them..."
Klaus looked very satisfied with how things were going around him, all three fairies were stuck to the window in Klaus's side
"Hey! They are waving towards us Klaus!"
"Look I'm really popular here too!"
"Heh! I'm the popular one tho~"
The fairies looked quite excited as they noticed some kids besides the fields waving towards Klaus's carriage surrounded by knights from distance
"Don't think too much about yourself, most countryside people don't even believe that fairies exist"
Klaus shrugged off all their excitement and with a smile he waved over the little kids over a distance
The carriage left quietly along with knights in horses leaving bright smiles over the faces of little kids
"Waaahhh!!! It was really Duke Klaus!"
"Gosh! The hero is handsome!"
"I will brag to everyone about this one!"
"Hahaha! Lucky!"
Till this point everything was normal but suddenly a notification rang inside Klaus and out of nowhere Klaus's eyes turned pure white like a celestial he was and various flashes of someone's memories passed through his eyes
Klaus's eyes returned to normal quite quickly too, Elena noticed that but decided to just ignore it but now the calm smile over Klaus had disappeared
It had been replaced by a cold serious face but not for much longer as next moment Klaus who was sitting inside the carriage suddenly started giving that sun like smile again
But except for Elena and Orion no one even realised the another Klaus walking out from behind a tree about a dozen or so meters away from the carriage that was going over different direction

This Klaus had a beautifully blossomed whitish lotus 🪷 with pink shade at the edges and 12 rings surrounding it, floating over his left hand
Klaus silently closed his grip over his left hand and that lotus and the rings disappeared in the mid air but at same time Klaus's face was cold as ice right now
There were absolutely no emotions there, his lightless blue eyes were just glowing over the shadows of the tree
"The world seems really cold these days..."
Klaus muttered those words and along with a falling leaf Klaus also disappeared from the thin air
The cause of all this was the notification that rang while Klaus was inside the carriage

Just as the notifications ended Klaus's consciousness also felt some change, what Klaus was now watching was completely different from anything he had seen till now
Klaus saw a normal human kid around 7 years or something inside those memories, this child has lived not much of a normal life till now
With how he lived it can't be called a living it was just a desperate survival at this point, the first dark memory covered Klaus's mind
"Just 20 gold coins, that's all I can give you for this!"
"O-okay then, just 20 gold!"

A muddy haired couple were seen taking a pouch of gold from a cold looking merchant with sharp looks and dark hat
Next moment what he noticed was his hands and legs were locked in iron chains and he was being dragged by another man along with that merchant
"Mom? Dad..."
The boy looked severally confused for what was happening but the only thing he saw while being dragged away from the couple was there smiles as they watched the shining coins gold and they didn't even look back at the child this young who had just been sold
"I don't want to go... I want to live with my mo-! Kuagh!"
The boy was still confused and said those words while trying to return back but suddenly a fist struck at his stomach almost killing him right on the spot
The gaze of that boy noticed the same man dragging him shouting at him with an angry face
"Shut up and sit here!"
The mind of that boy slowly turned back and darkness covered his consciousness the thing he remembered that day was getting tossed inside some kind of cage
His consciousness returned again next day as he slowly opened his eyes and as he did that he noticed the view of the world wasn't similar to what was before
He struggled to even stand again and he noticed the cage was open and the carriage he was placed inside was in pieces right now
He somehow managed to come out and noticed that the slave merchant and his men were already dead and seems like some kind of troll just passed by from here
"Thank you God..."
The boy thanked the God and searched for the food, after many attempts he finally got a piece of half eaten bread and immediately swallowed it whole in one go
With that he started his struggle to continue, the boy walked and just walked inside that forest
Don't know if it was fate or luck but he didn't encounter a single monster in his way, his body was skinny and whole face and hairs were covered in mud
He somehow managed to reach inside a city and he somehow arrived at the market area of the city
"Food..."
He noticed some fruits on sale, he hasn't eaten for days so his hunger unconsciously made him approach them but before he even touched the fruits and loud shout and a big slap fell over his face sending him flying
"The heck do you think you are doing? Don't touch my goods you beggar!!!"
The child hasn't eaten for days, he was so weak that he immediately lost his consciousness again, the nearby people also just walked away even after seeing the kid half dead on the streets
'God...'
The child pleaded God for mercy and seems like his prayers were answered because as he woke up again he saw another kid looking like a beggar in front of him and a whole group of beggars inside a alley surrounding him
"You finally woke up huh!? Good eat all this up!"
The other kids with orange hair offered him some food, the boy wasn't in condition to refuse, he immediately gulped down whole bread and whatever was in front of him
"Hahaha! You eat like a pig! I'm Rud!"
The orange haired kid introduced himself with a bright face, the boy also had his name with a tired face
"Shawn..."
Everyone present there nodded with a smile, and looked at him with a unique familiar feeling, he had met these kids for the first time in life but they felt more comfortable than his real family
"Shawn! Good name indeed!!"
Rud grabbed his hands and picked him up, the child lived happily there, it was like God had answered all his prayers
He and other kids were beggars of streets who lived off from left overs of others and their charity
There were times where they had the stave for days and with no clothing and shelter live life out in cold
But somehow the boy felt quite comfortable in his heart by being with all of them, he survived there for the next 4 years until another incident happened
"This isn't..."
"Rud!!!!!"
"How can this happen!?!"
"Goddammit!"
The dead body of the orange haired guy was found dead on streets with various wound marks over his body from paws of horses and carriage wheels
Next suddenly various magic were fired towards the little beggars gathered there
"Yueaah!"
"Aackkk!"
"Save me! I don't wanna-!!"
"Help!!"
The kids that accompanied him for the next 4 years died right in front of him, he just watched, he could do nothing as he just watched
Right in front of his eyes and those who gave him warmth in heart and will to live just died like that
The boy suddenly felt an impact over his back of head as if he was just hit by some metal and he lost his conciseness right on the spot
"Hahaha! How do you see my magic! I'm a genius!"
The last thing he noticed was a noble kid laughing along with his knights and lost his consciousness
This was the second time the heart of that boy broke
