MC POV -
It's been a week since I encountered Jasper and Emmett, and I haven't heard anything from them or the other Cullens since. 'I was at least expecting them to observe me, I mean, look at me, who wouldn't be interested in learning more about me. I don't even go into town that much either, so it's kinda hard to observe me anywhere other than here.' I thought.
Ever since I found this place, I've been making it my own by making a little cabin for me to sleep in that I made with my elemental powers, once I experimented with them a little bit. I also made myself a little garden with tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and apples. I asked the store owner of a place called "Rusty Gate Nursery and Building Supply," which would grow best if I wanted to start my own garden, and they recommended those. I'm not an expert, but it seemed easy enough as long as I gave the plants a healthy amount of water and sunlight, they would be fine.
Other than that, nothing exciting has happened except for my nightly flights around the forest and my regular practice of magic. I was planning on going out to the wolves' territory today to get myself acquainted with them now if they didn't know about me already. 'Even I know the vampires and wolves relationship isn't all that great, but they do work together if they need to since they both call Forks their home.' I thought, knowing that they most likely did know I was here somewhere in the forest.
Carlisle POV -
It's been a week since Jasper and Emmett told me about a winged woman they found in the forest called Reina. At first, I was wary of this woman, but after I went to where she was living, I realized that even if she was a powerful being just as Emmett and Jasper had described, she wasn't anything like the Volturi. She seemed innocent and naive in a way, which wasn't bad for us but was extremely bad for her. 'If the Volturi found her before us, they may have captured her and kept her as their own personal pet or something worse.' I thought, thinking that I should maybe take her in for now.
Before I talked to her, though, I made sure Esme and the others agreed with my decision on taking her in. Everyone was hesitant at first, but after I told them about my reasoning for this decision, they agreed right away except for Edward. I could understand where he was coming from when he said, "We know nothing about this woman. She could be different once you start talking to her, and she could have known you were watching her to begin with and acted differently on purpose!!"
He was very worked up, so I did the only thing that would make him calm down, "You can come with me and read her mind if it will make you less suspicious of her then. It's better if you come anyway so we can know as much as possible." I said. He calmed down eventually and agreed, "I don't want you to show yourself until I'm done talking to her. She'll be uneasy if 2 unknown people come up to her randomly. Also, I'm going to be asking her questions every now and then. That's when you should use your telepathy." I said, and he nodded in understanding.
MC POV -
As I was thinking about my plans for today, I heard 2 people coming towards me fast. 'I guess they thought I was interesting after all.' I thought, knowing that it was the Cullens. Once they were close to my little cozy cabin, they stopped, and only 1 of them came out. I was surprised to see Carlisle, and I could tell the other one was Edward. 'I'll let Edward have some fun, but I'll only let him see what I want him to see.' I thought, not showing any emotion on my face that might give me away.
Carlisle - Hello, I'm Carlisle. Do you remember those 2 boys you saw in the forest last week? Those were my sons.
"Yeah, I remember them. Why?"
Carlisle - Well, they told me about a winged woman who was living in the forest, and I was curious, do you mind telling me what you are? I don't mean to be rude.
"How do I know I can trust you? How about you tell me what you are first, I know you aren't human."
Carlisle - Ok, it's only fair if I tell you what I am first, I'm a vampire, and so is my family.
I looked at him suspiciously, so it would seem like I didn't believe him right away, but he ran around the lake real quick to prove himself.
Carlisle - Believe me now?
"Fine, I guess I have to tell you what I am, I'm a Dark Fey. We were once a powerful civilization but were pushed to the seas by humans and forgotten as well. I'm the last of my kind."
Carlisle - Hmmm, well, I have a proposal. If you come with me and live with my family, we will protect you from the humans and give you a proper home.
"I'm terribly sorry, but I will have to turn down your proposal ........ actually, I will come with you, but only if you let me come and go as I please, when I please."
Carlisle - Alright, but I have a few questions to ask before we take you to your new home. What are your intentions for coming to
Forks, and do you pose any threat to me and my family.
"I don't have any specific reason for coming to Forks, I just thought it would be a nice place to live out my life. I also don't have any intention of causing problems for you and your family, I just happened to meet your sons on accident, that's all."
Carlisle looked at me, then looked back at Edward to make sure everything had checked out. Edward nodded to Carlisle and then walked out into the open since the conversation was over. Carlisle looked back to me and told me to follow him to his home to meet the rest of his family. 'This is going to be tiring, isn't it?' I thought, following him to my new home.
