Friendly Encounter???

Jasper POV -

Turning around, I was cautious of the bushes where I heard a faint snap of a twig. It might seem ridiculous for a vampire to think this, but I wanted to run away right now because from the bushes, I felt the oppression of what seemed to be a powerful being. I looked at Emmett from the corner of my eye, and I could tell he felt the same if the fidgeting and shuffling of his legs wasn't a clear giveaway.

I focused on the bushes again, and I almost laughed when I heard a faint "shit" come from it. I shook my head to stop myself from laughing and spoke, "We don't have any intention of harming you if you don't harm us. Now come out slowly, and we can talk peacefully without any fighting." I said firmly, hoping they didn't want to fight. Slowly, the enigma stood up. The first thing that came into vision was curved black horns, then a face that was covered in shadows, and after, enormous wings that seemed to be able to cut a tree in half if it was desired by the weilder.

"What are you?" I said without thinking. The creature?..monster?...human?....whatever it was flinched at the question but didn't seem to want to answer.

Emmett - Whoa!!! Look at those wings Jasper, hey whatever you are, can you give me a ride?

??? - Hey, stop talking to me like that!!! You know it's rude to get someones attention by calling them "whatever."

Emmett - Well, sorryyy your highness, but maybe if you told us what you are or your name, then I wouldn't have to.

??? - Well, you don't see me calling you "whatever" even though I don't know your name or what you are.

As Emmet and the winged woman argued, I realized that her beauty was on par with a vampire if not more beautiful. She seemed dangerous if you got on her bad side, but right now, she seemed okay. It may be foolish of me not to be cautious right now, but she didn't seem to have any bad intentions, and even though her and Emmett were arguing, she didn't actually seem mad. Honestly, it was more like she was an older sister arguing with her brother over something petty.

Before their argument got any more heated, I cut Emmett off before he could say anything more and introduced myself respectfully.

"Hello, I'm Jasper, and sorry about my brother. He can be an idiot sometimes, as you can see." I said.

??? - I'm Reina. Nice to meet you, I guess.

Emmett - I'm Emmett. It's not nice to meet you, Reina.

Reina - You know you're really annoying, and I wasn't even talking to you. I was talking to your brother.

Emmett - I know who you were talking to, and I don't care, I still needed to introduce myself anyway since you asked for my name.

Reina - I didn't ask, I was just trying to ma...

"Alright, alright, can the both of you stop arguing now?" I said. 'This is going to be a hectic day, isn't it?' I thought.

Emmett ignored me and just glared at Reina, but Reina looked towards me. Actually, she wasn't even really looking at me it was more like inspecting. I was trying not to show that I was uncomfortable and a little frightened of her because she still had that oppressing aura surrounding her. Once she was done inspecting me, she realized she hadn't spoken yet and answered me.

Reina - Sorry about that. Your brother is just really annoying, and I couldn't stop myself.

"It's fine. Anyone who knows Emmett would agree with you, myself included." I said, trying to start a friendly conversation to see if I could get any more information on her.

'The only things I know about her is her name and that she could probably kill me with a sweep of her hand.' I thought with a shiver running down my back. Looking towards Emmett, I called him over since even though she still hadn't shown any bad intentions, I should still be cautious around her and tell Carlisle and Esme about this encounter as soon as possible.

"Emmett, we should head home now, right?" I said. Emmett understood what I meant when I gave him a look.

Emmett - Yeah, we should, we won't be able to hunt here anymore now.

Reina - Alright then, I should see you both soon enough anyway.

Me and Emmett looked at her questioningly, but we both left it alone since we needed to get home right away to tell Carlisle and Esme about our encounter here.

MC POV -

As I watched Jasper and Emmett retreat towards their home, I let out a sigh of relief. 'Even though I wasn't planning on meeting them until Bella made it here, it wasn't a complete wreck. Maybe I should follow them, though. I kinda want to know what they think of me. No, I don't want to make it any more complicated than it already is, and they're predictable anyway, even if they're not the exact same as their character counterparts.' I thought, thinking about what I should do if they came back or just observed me from afar. "Well, there isn't anything else I can do, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens next." I said, looking in the direction they ran in.

I made my way up into the sky, looking for a new place to stay since they knew I was here. 'I don't plan on hiding now since they know I'm here, not that it made a difference to begin with, and the wolves are bound to figure out sooner or later. I'll just find a more comfortable place to crash, but make sure I'm not imposing on either the wolves or vampires territories, so there isn't any conflict. Well, anymore than there is bound to be eventually.' I thought, while flying towards a small lake I saw in the distance that seemed perfect for me to stay at, since I didn't see any trails that led here and it looked comfortable enough.
