Chapter-27: The Revelation to the Seitenshi and Kikunojou, And The Truth about Seitenshi's Rule

3rd POV | Tokyo District 32 Main Road |

The streets were flooded with people swarming to catch a glimpse at the convoy that was about to arrive in any minute. They held flowers and bouquets, wine, and many more.

Vrooom-! Vrooom-!

The distant rumbling of engines were finally able to reach the ears of the people present as they saw the first vehicle that entered their sight.

"'Whooooo! There they are!" A woman shouted amongst the crowd which seems to trigger a domino effect, the crowd cheered and shouted.

The first vehicle was an armored truck, to the surprise of the people, Commander Gado, the leader of the operation, popped out from the hatch on the top of the armored truck. He started waving to everybody with a big smile in his face.

""Whooooo!"" The people cheered and raised their hands to welcome them.

They threw bouquets and flowers to the convoy, while the returning Promoters themselves were feeling like heroes, but the true MVPs of this war was Cassell Agency.

The procession lasted a few minutes as the Seitenshi also appeared in front of everybody. Praising and congratulating the Promoters for doing something that world armies couldn't solve. The Promoters were treated like heroes, while the Initiators were treated with disdain by all except for some kind people.

"Cassell Agency Members, Seitenshi-sama had called for you" A soldier appeared near their Humvee's window and said.

"Where do we meet?" Ren asked as he looked at the soldier.

"She asked you to meet her in her office"

"Okay, we'll be heading there now" Ren said as the soldier walked away.

"I have the feeling that this time, we went too far and we revealed our supernatural abilities" Kanesada said in the back while crossing his arms.

"I have that feeling too, but if there's no choice, then we gotta see through it" Ren said as he propped his chin on his hand while looking outside the window.

They followed the road to Seitenshi's manor. Eventually, they arrived once again at the big manor, which could even be called a palace at this point. This time, they weren't stopped by the guards because they were recognized and the Seitenshi ordered them to.

They parked their car in front of a spacious opening in the entrance with a fountain in the middle. They left their humvee as they entered the familiar doors.

Whiiish-!

The Seitenshi was already waiting for them with a serious look on her face, and Kikunojou also had a somber face.

"Welcome Cassell Agency Members, I have called upon you again for some important business"

"And what might that business be, Seitenshi-sama?"

Ren immediately started the conversation on a casual note as he took a seat at the sofa parallel to Seitenshi and Kikunojou.

"As you must know, Commander Gado told me about your impressive feat.."

"So, my staff thought that a massive rewarding ceremony that will be held for your group while pushing your IP ranks up to the top is the proper reward, but I have only 2 questions"

The Seitenshi said elegantly and eloquently as she put her hands on her lap.

"I thank you for your generosity, Head of State, if I may impudently ask, please tell us your questions" The reason why Ren suddenly had a change of speech that was like talking to an emperor is because the Seitenshi's status was like the emperor of the country as she was the spiritual pillar of Japan, and Kikunojou was like the Prime Minister.

Ren's eyes narrowed as he observed their facial expressions, 'He noticed it'. Kikunojou noticed his change of words and a slight change in posture, to him, Ren's posture became sharper and more confident with a shift in tone, exuding the aura of a judge.

"Then let me be frank..." The Seitenshi said as he made eye contact with her.

Ren had an instinctual feeling about the question that was about to be asked, he felt that he knew what was coming, so he braced himself.

"What are you?" She slowly said as her eyes filled with seriousness...

Ren made a fast eye contact with Seitenshi as he started speaking with confidence, "What am I? What kind of question is that? Of course I would be nothing more than a human, aren't I? My incompetent head of state.."

Danger emanated from Ren's voice as he realised he didn't need to pretend anymore, that he could show his dominance and harsh opinions. He also used the line that Hiruko Kagetane used because it perfectly demonstrates his thoughts about her rule.

"You-!" Kikunojou's anger finally burst out as he tried to attack Ren.

"Shut up" Ren said calmly in a deep voice as he constricted the space around his body, immobilizing him and leaving out some of the essential organs alone, he didn't want him to die yet, he still had use.

'What is this?! I can't move and my body feels like it's being crushed!'

Kikunojou couldn't even make a horrified place as he couldn't move a single muscle.

"Kikunojou?! What happened?!"

The Seitenshi became flustered as she asked the frozen attendant beside her.

'Run away!'

Kikunojou wanted to tell Seitenshi to flee for her life against these people, no, monsters, but alas, fate was cruel as all he could do was hopelessly watch.

"What did you do to my confidant?"

"Don't worry, I didn't kill him"

Ren's eyes sharpened as he began his sermon. When the others saw his seriousness, they quickly left the room.

"So let me start by saying, your way of governing is absolutely dogshit, it's trash, mind my crass words if you'd like but I don't care"

"My way of governing my people is by protecting them from all dangers, what say do you have as an outsider?"

"To me, you are nothing but a naive girl trying to rule with an impossible dream, but in reality, all you are is a puppet emperor sat upon a throne of lies"

Ren raised deepened his voice in seriousness as he proceeded to calm himself down. again.

"My way of governing is my idealization of a haven, a paradise, and I did all I could to make it as such, I wanted my country to prosper and I know am doing well"

The Seitenshi started to argue back calmly...

"Ho? Then let me indulge you in your mistakes and flaws as well as revealing all that is happening in the underbelly this area"

Ren's eyes glowed violet as he started narrating...
