Chapter-32: The Ladder of Heaven

3rd POV |Tokyo Civil Service Command Center |
"We can't regain control of the launch sequence!" An operator on a command console said worriedly to Kisara Tendo, the president of the Tendo Agency, the agency given the mission to use the Ladder of Heaven and was given permission by the Seitenshi.
"Without doing it manually on-site, launch is imposible!" The operator said to Kisara with beads of sweat trailing down his face from anxiousness.
Kisara calmly ingested this information as she talked to Rentaro on the other side, "Satomi-kun, did you hear that? We can't fire the railgun from here"
"Please! You have to do it!"
Rentaro on the other side of the line was shocked as he replied.
"Hey, you've got to be kidding! There's no way I can do it! Kisara-san!!"
Rentaro was nervous as he thought he couldn't do the ridiculous burden that was put in his shoulders.
"Satomi-kun, the world—Please—" Kisara wanted to plead to Rentaro but the communication was suddenly cut due to the interference emitted by the electromagnetic signals that came from the super magnets that was on the barrel of the Ladder of Heaven.
"Damn it!" Kisara cursed as she took off the headset that she wore in anger.
"What?!" The operator suddenly shouted.
Kisara immediately asked the operator that had a shocked look in his face, his fingers tapping in rapid speeds.
"What happened?"
"My console seems to be hacked! My console is frozen, I can't do anything!" The operator helplessly said.
Kisara was about to say something but a video call suddenly appeared on the screen of the console, there she saw the face of a man with pitch-black hair and enchanting violet eyes.
"President of the Cassell Agency..." Kisara knew who it was, she recognized him due to the media publicity of the Cassell Agency's feats and of course the Promoter meetings that she had attended to.
"What is your intention? Why did you hack into the console?" Kisara asked in a barrage of questions, seemingly wary due to her past experiences.
"I mean no harm, the opposite actually, I want to cooperate with you to use the Ladder of Heaven" Ren replied calmly on the opposite side.
"Hm, and what will you gain from it?"
"We don't need prestige or anything like that, we just want to get rid of Scorpio"
Kisara contemplated for a while but decided to accept, "Alright, I don't want to but I need help, so I'll agree this time"
Ren nodded as he talked about his plan to help Rentaro and Enju get to the Ladder of Heaven.
"I'll send my group there with their Initiators while I will stall Scorpio in it's tracks" Ren said as Kisara readily agreed but asked one question.
"I have one question.."
"Hn? What is it?"
"How are you going to stop it?" Kisara narrowed her eyes as she asked.
After Ren heard the question, he thought about what to say for a few seconds, then he decided on what to answer.
"Just watch"
Kisara's eyebrows twitched when she had heard his vague and mysterious answer. It kinda ticked her off but she decided to ignore it.
"Alright" Kisara said as the video call ended and the operator regained control of the console again.

3rd POV | Fraxinus EX |
"So this are the plans guys, first Maria will send you down 20 meters from the Ladder of Heaven, then try to meet up with Rentaro and his Initiator, Enju, in the control room which is in the very top of the structure, just behind the barrel" Ren conjured a holographic map from the hologram table, showing the location of where they will be teleported down and the location of the Control Room.
"Why don't we just teleport at the top of the railgun?" Sajuna asked a very good question
"That's because the Fraxinus needs to hover above the city to monitor and counterattack the movements of Scorpio, and the range of the teleportation device cannot reach that far"
"Okay.." Sajuna nodded in understanding behind the tactical decision.
"I'll get the children, so teleport me down to our agency building" Toka said as she chimed in.
"Okay, we'll wait for you and then pick you and the kids up" Ren agreed to Toka's request.

The [R.D.E] quickly teleported them inside the Fraxinus as they all let out an audible response, even Akari let out a monotonous 'ooooh'.
"Wow! Is this a flying ship?! Like in those sci-fi mangas I saw?!" Himiko cheerfully shouted with stars in her eyes.
"That's awesome...!" Honoka wowed as she looked all around her.
"Umf! Umf! This is a great surprise but a welcome one degozaru!" Ichika cutely nodded her head, her tiny twintails flailing as she does so with her arms crossed.
"Is this our new base, Ren-oniichan?!" Aoi had a similar expression to the other Initiators.
"Hehe, yeah, this is our new base! you like it?" Ren bent down as he patted her head.
"Like it? No! I wuv it!" Aoi stumbled cutely on her words because she bit her tongue due to the excitement, she soon realized it and hid her mouth with her hands while blushing from the embarrassment.
Ren just smiled with his eyes turning into crescents.
[{Captain, the [R.D.E] is all charged up and ready to go!}]
"Okay! It's time! This time I won't be coming with you on the mission, because I will try to stall Scorpio and give ya'll the perfect shot, I'll tell you when so just wait for my signal" Ren said to the others.
"Weh?!, you aren't coming with us? Ren-oniichan?" Aoi asked with a surprised look.
"Don't worry, it's not that dangerous to go there" Ren comforted her.
"No fair! I also want a headpat too!" Honoka suddenly chimed in as she took one of Ren's hand and put it on top of her head.
"Okay, okay" Ren grew a helpless look on his face.
"Follow what Toka-oneechan says you to do okay?" Ren said to all the Initiators.
""Yes!"" They all responded in a chorus with determined faces, except of course Akari, she doesn't show any emotion in her face.
"Now, commence operation!"
