Say your wish

"Welcome home young master." Sebastian greeted upon Eric's arrival and recieved his coat spontaneously.

He already had his investigation done, and was quite concerned regarding the matter. It would be disrespectful of telling his master about the consequences if this affairs grow in further, but at the same time he couldn't afford his master to lose his career.

After a lot of thinking, he finally came up with a plan to indirectly tell him when an opportunity strikes, but to his surprise, his wish came back running knocking on his door.

Eric didn't looked awestruck like the previous night, instead he had a 'thrilled' face. Which was an omen that something bad was gonna happen to his rival party. Sebastian was now even more puzzled, as he couldn't conclude his suspicions anymore. Does he love that girl or does he want to ruin her? Sebastian couldn't tell.

Somewhere back in the grand bedroom, Eric could imagine his precious personal assistant fretting in secret. Things were getting more and more interesting, and he enjoyed predicting what would the final stage of this game be. However, there was still a thorn stuck in his mind.

It was that invitation from K&L corporation.

There were many ways to decline it like any other parties in the past, but that would create a lot of unnecessary trouble, something which he truly wanted to avoid this time.

He recalled his big sister's advice as how beneficial it would be for him in terms of winning the seat of president over his rest of the siblings. But little did she realised the fact that this wouldn't make them free from their father's dictatorship, something which they aimed for.

"You're still innocent big sister." He muttered as he stood near the large window of his room. His apartment was on eleventh floor, which was almost twice the number of Ms. Shekar's building, yet the view didn't felt as good like it did there. There was a thick glass blocking those cool breeze in front of him and dazzling LED lights of his room dissolving the gentle moonlight.

The cityscape was still the same, just with a different angle perspective. But it didn't looked as breathtaking like before. It was just like a wallpaper he wouldn't even care to look at.

'It's beautiful. Isn't it?' He recalled those memories from that time as her voice reverberated in his mind.

He remembered all those first time experiences and scoffed at how little did he knew about the other side of this wall.

He imagined how funny would Ms. Shekhar look if she was present here. Standing, right next to him with hands tightly gripping on his shirt.

"I bet she would be scared upon seeing how high we are standing. Or maybe, she'll get even more excited to see the city more properly. Sigh, I can't predict her actions at all." He said while leaning on the glass and blankly stared at the chaos in streets from above.

He wished to see her more because of her amusing reactions and unpredictable actions everytime he met her. It was like an adventure ride for him, perfect to isolate from the boring routine life of his. He knew Sebastian would worry about him falling in love with just a mere employer in their company, but that wasn't the case.

He simply visited her to spend some time without any restraints and live freely. She was just an excuse to make for ditching some time.

The call for dinner finally rung at his bedroom's doorsteps and he concluded his second day of adventure with a good deep sleep after finishing his meal.

------

"Good Morning!"

"Ah it's you. Good morning Betty." Ayana said as she constantly rubbed her eyes.

"Hey, what's with that low response? Did you not slept well last night?" Betty approached her with concern and removed her hands off the eyes.

"Jesus! Your eyes are swollen red! Don't tell me you cried all night?" She almost yelled but Ayana laughed it off.

"Don't ignore me. Tch! That jerk. I swear I'll break his balls the next time I see him." She cussed as they walked together in office lobby. She wanted to curse him more for hurting her friend so much, but seeing Ayana gloomy face just from the mentioning of Jake, made her stop.

"I know it's easier said than done, but still. Don't let this affect your work okay? Especially now that higher rankings are here on a visit. We NEED promotion." She emphasised.

"Yeah, I know you are right but...It's just that whenever my mind is free, I keep remembering all those memories I spend with that jerk." Ayana frowned.

"Don't worry, try thinking of it in a positive way."

"Heh?!What do you mean?" Ayana took a moment to pause and take a proper glance at Betty, but got pulled by her swiftly in order to listen her explaining herself first.

"Would you stop looking at me with 'what-a-weirdo' eyes and listen to me first? Do you remember the time when you told me how depressed you were when your parents got divorced and you had nowhere to return to except surviving on your own?" Betty said and as she abruptly turned around and grabbed Ayana by her shoulders. Her gaze was fixed with hers in this dense atmosphere.

"...yeah, so what? These two are completely unrelated matters." But Ayana responded to her completely unfazed.

"Ugh! Are you really that dumb?!"

"What?!"

"C'mon! You are a strong woman! It's not like you to be so heartbroken over a fool who ditched you for that b*tch. You should rather consider yourself lucky that you didn't end up married with that idiot." She said boldly with a firm grip.

Ayana noticed people walking by were watching them with weird gaze and an instant blush spread all over her face. She felt so embarrassed to discuss such matters out in the public that she dragged Betty instantly into a nearby washroom while she was still blabbering motivation speech.

"Are you out of your mind?! Why did you said that so loud in the public?!! What if this spreads rumours in the whole department?!" Ayana yelled.

"Relax! I wasn't even that loud that you claim me to be. Besides, even if they did heard me loud, it's not like they're gonna do anything. The only thing people here care about is work and money, they're not even slightly interested in your relationship." Betty said calmly.

"So you do accept that you yelled."

"What?! No!...okay, maybe I did. But you see-"

"Betty, it's all right. I am already quite in a mess right now and I don't want to make it bigger. But if you say, everything's all right, then I trust you. Just in case, don't tell anybody about my breakup."

After Ayana's statement, Betty remained silent out of guilt for not realising how a silly mistake might end up causing her friend even more distressed.

'People might not be interested her dating but would love to gossip upon her breakup. Especially since her bf is a CFO.' she realised later.

Seeing Betty getting all sullen, Ayana approached near her ears and blowed a chill breath silently.

"Kyaa!! Ayana?!" Betty screamed upon getting her sensitive spot triggered.

"Teehee! What are you getting all sad for?! It's me who should be feeling guilty for making you so much worry about me." Ayana giggled gleefully as everything came back to normal and even tapped on her shoulders to show how happy she was to get her support.

"No, it's my fault for not being so good at comforting, especially now that you need it the most."

"What?!! Do you really think I am the type who'd easily get swayed from words. Don't you know Imma muscle head?"

"Pfft! C'mon now. You don't need to make fun of yourself to make me laugh. I am simply stating the facts. But you know what? I promise you, I'll make sure you'll get over this heartbreak pretty soon and will never look back at him ever again."

"Haha! Okay! okay! To express my gratitude for being so kind, I promise you I'll grant you a wish."

"What?! Really?! You sure?~"

Betty said teasingly with a mischievous smirk on her face.

"Ofcourse! Uh..provided it's within my capabilities." Ayana said carefully as she just realised how grief of a mistake she had committed right now.

The fact skipped her mind for a moment that Betty could be a REAL devil sometimes too. She regretted alluding.
