Blind date?!

There was complete silence in the car.

Sebastian, the driver, was puzzled.

Scarlett, the daydreamer, was excited.

Eric, the main cause, was frustrated.

The atmosphere flooded with contrasting thoughts yet no body dared to speak a word. While Sebastian noticed the anger level of his master, Scarlett was completely unaware of the tense situation here.

She was excited to finally succeed in taking a step closer to her relationship and was smiling in her delusions. She got a bit scared when she noticed piercing glare of Eric on her arms touching his, so much that she let go of him instinctively, but the fear faded away when she noticed his parents themselves didn't supported their child's wish.

It was sad thing to watch, but a profit for her.

She's got full support from both sides to captivate this man. To remove this suffocating silence, Sebastian turned on the radio and everyone listened to the the anchor stating weather reports.

He advised citizens of west Elmont to remain in their home as metereological department warned heavy snowfall in that area. But it appeared to be just some background noise to Eric as per Sebastian's observation since he still had that stiff look on his face.

'Does he not know, Ms. Shekar live in the west too? Is he that frustrated to not notice anything?' Sebastian wondered.

On the other hand, Scarlett kissed her luck as they were at outskirts of Elmont city, that too in East, where the beach was. The weather here was perfect and the sky looked really romantic too. If only Eric's assistant wasn't here, she could've made a move already by now.

Eric was busy staring at the sun while sitting on right of the car and pondering over many stuffs to avoid getting angry again.

"the sky reminds me of that evening when I sneaked out to see her.' he lately noticed.

He calmed his soul upon seeing the fascinating arrays of cotton candy like fluffy clouds when suddenly a loud horn withdraw his hands off near the window by reflex.

A familiar figure in black Toyota car blew past them within an instant. And while Scarlett and Sebastian bickered about that person's driving skill in the background, Eric's mind was somewhere else.

He couldn't believe his eyesight since he was sure he saw Ayana for a second.

'Have I gone insane?' he questioned his sanity as not only she appeared in his dreams but now as in hallucinations too!

He noticed the car taking the same turn as their destination. This made his stomach suddenly popping with bubbles of curiosity and he internally wished if his suspicion was true. His body had gone impatient like that of an excited kid on a trip and he looked forward to reach there too as soon as possible.

They finally parked at the beach's parking area. Eric secretly looked around to notice the same car, but surprisingly there so many like it that he couldn't tell which one was Ayana's. In the end, he gave up upon Sebastian and Scarlett's call and marched at front.

It was a huge beach and was pretty famous for tourism. After their arrival, they noticed a herd of couples gathering at the distant side of shore, where all shops and hotels were present. Did something happened?

"Oh! It seems there's a matchmaking event going on. What a coincidence?!" Scarlett squealed excitedly as she browsed over internet.

She tried grabbing Eric's hands, but he purposely slipped it off. He was already very frustrated from her and didn't wanted to be with her anymore. Sebastian looked at him with a nervous smile to co-operate for the time being, but Eric turned his gaze away in denial, leaving Sebastian sigh from helplessness.

'This is bad.'

He had already grasped the situation the moment his eyes laid on a fancy dressed lady behind Eric. The contrasting expression on their faces was enough to tell Eric was forced to bring her on a date. But to think, he wouldn't even pretend to look normally at her, worried him.

'At this point, I just hope everything turns out to be well.' he sincerely wished.

*Screech!*

"So, here I am. Care telling me why did you called me here after ignoring me for two weeks?!" Ayana yelled as she pulled the chair abruptly in front of Betty, who was sitting in the second last seat with her head down on the table.

Her sudden yell made her her jolt on seat, but upon seeing Ayana's tired expression she chooses to remain calm. It was obvious she had worried her a lot, but that was all part of her plan.

"Finally you are here! Do you know how much trouble I got into because you came so late?" She said while lifting her head.

"Well, you deserved it. Calling me to over to drive 67.8 Km just to have a dinner in a restaurant near the beach. It was definitely worth it." She scoffed while staring at the glass window. But even so, the corner of her eyes happened to catch something surprising.

"Who said I called you here for a dinner?" Betty smirked as she said, which made instant shiver run down Ayana's spine.

"What do you mean? For what else would you call me at a restaurant?" She said hesitantly.

"Hmm, right. Why don't we order some starters then? Haha!"

"Heh?! You're acting so wierd, you know that?"

Ayana raised her brow and looked closely at Betty's suspicious behaviour, but she had nothing except a cheeky smile spread across her face. Everything seemed normal, yet it looked something bad was gonna happen today.

She wanted to clear her doubts, but a waiter suddenly interrupted their conversation out of thin air.

Ayana almost flinched and struggled to speak as she looked for the menu, but Betty delayed their turn to order right away, and asked for a light strawberry smoothie for both of them instead.

Ayana was puzzled as she couldn't process what was happening at all!

Was she being nice to hear to get comfortable with the space first, or was there another reason? She couldn't tell.

After a while, their smoothies finally arrived, but instead of explaining herself, Betty instantly grabbed her drink and continuously sipped as she stared at the sky getting dark and crowd passing by.

Ayana noticed the number of people gathering too and wondered what was happening around her. Almost everyone looked like a couple,so absurd. The staff too was wearing pastel uniforms. Everyone was in such a hustle that it made her feel like an outcast.

Every table except the one at their back was filled with customers and many light coloured balloons and posters with love quotes were hanged on walls.

'Is there's any occasion today? But aren't all those couple celebration occurs in month of February?'

Betty definitely looked as if she won't utter a single word even if she asked, but considering all the trouble she took just to get more frustrated after coming here crossed the line of Ayana's patience. In the end, she decided to take charge herself.

"Is there some kind of event going to happen here? Is that's why you called me?"

"Huh?! What?!! No!" Betty jolted again.

"I've got eyes. Duh! Can't you see people carrying mics over there?" Ayana pointed at the boys arranging a stage set with blank expression and looked back at Betty, who looked controlling her nervousness now.

"Oh my! Really?! Even I didn't knew there was gonna be an event here haha! What a coincidence, don't you think?!" She boisterously laughed. But it didn't made any impact on Ayana's mind.

"Betty."

"Uh yes?"

"You do realise you suck at acting like me, remember?"

"Haha! I can't understand what you're saying at all?!....Oh wait! There they are! Phew!"

As Betty was trying to avoid the topic, suddenly something catched her eyes. She immediately jumped and dashed towards a couple of men who were standing at the entrance of restaurant. There was a sight of relief on Betty's face as she looked at those men.

"Was she waiting for those men? But why?" Ayana wondered as she peeked through crowds to look at their face.

She had never seen those men in her entire life.
