We're leaving the resort

"I will never do any harm to you Ms. Shekar, so please sign this deal for me. I really need your help this time."

"But that's..."

After a long discussion, things have finally cooled down and Eric had successfully managed to gain her trust. He never realised it, but victim card can be a powerful weapon when needed to be. He made sure to sow the seed of uneasiness in her heart regarding her own actions that night and was now waiting for that tree to grow. The more she'll doubt herself, the more space Eric would gain to fill the void in her heart.

"Relax. Like I said, I won't push you to sign this deal, but considering the gains we'll both benefit from this deal, I would insist you to reconsider it atleast." He said while pouring water into a glass and passed it over to her with a gentle smile.

Ayana drank a few sips while holding it with both hands and remained silent as she deeply analysed his words. She was so focused that she didn't even noticed the small hints Eric was giving to her.

It seems he did succeeded in convincing her to reconsider but it still wasn't enough to change her mind. She still needed some time, and for that she needs an opportunity, a chance to judge him unbiasedly.

She thanked him while handling the glass to him, and jumped off her bed to grab the hoodie lying on the sofa. Her V-neck light purple t-shirt was all creased, and her sneakers were awfully stuck under the sofa base. She didn't knew how on earth did that happened but she needed to pull them out before her boss notices it.

It was a good thing Eric wasn't looking at her while she was getting ready by pulling her sneakers because otherwise it would've been so embarrassing to see her bad habits to live untidily.

They both got dressed up and finally left the resort for departure.

"Would you mind if we share our numbers?"

"Huh?! Uh yes, just a minute please." Ayana said as she clumsily opened her contacts and handed over her phone. It didn't take long for him to save the numbers and confirm it on each other's phone and he quickly returned it back to her with screen turned off.

"So, umm, are you gonna take a cab or what?" Ayana asked as she opened the door to her car.

But he shrugged as he looked around and hesitantly said "Uhh yeah. I've already asked the resort to manage a cab so they'll report me when the booking's confirmed. Otherwise I'll ask my boss to send a car here."

'Will his boss really send one?! Woah, I wish if even I could've boss like him. I would happily do overtime on weekdays then. Well, good for him.' Ayana mumble to herself in daze as she blankly looked at him.

She turned on her car and put her phone to charge on battery saver. It was nine in the morning yet it was dazzling hot outside.

"I guess, that's what beach is for you. Always hot and humid in daylight." She muttered while finally settling to go,when suddenly her gaze fall upon Eric still standing and looking at his watch in middle of the empty parking lot.

"What is he doing out there?" She wondered but didn't paid much attention to it. She turned on her music playlist of latest pop music and switched her gears to go.

Meanwhile Eric checked his driver's location on the phone, who was send by Sebastian. 'Tch! There's still thirty minutes left for him to come. I guess I'll have to pass my time by checking the records of this resort now that I am here.'

He clicked his tongue while wiping the sweat off his neck and was about to turn around when suddenly he noticed Ayana's car stationary at a position.

'Did something happen?' he started guessing what could her reason be when suddenly a slim figure wearing light purple t-shirt and blue jeans emerged out of the car. She approached him skipping steps in between and asked with her hands placed on her forehead for shade.

"I can give you a ride if you're in a hurry." She said with wrinkled eyes as sun was shining right at her front.

Eric looked at his phone and texted something after thinking for a while. "You sure? I am not in a hurry so I can wait a little here."

"Hmm...., where do you live exactly?" She asked after a while.

"Oh! You can drop me at the company building. My friend would pick up from there."

"Okay! You can hope on then." She gave him a welcoming gesture as they both walked towards the car. Ayana turned on her AC and fixed the rear view mirror once again for his confirmation to leave.

Even though the car model was pretty old in the market, it still worked fine even for long distance travelling.

"Your car's pretty smooth." He complimented while adjusting his AC direction. Just the previous day he was so eager to leave this place, but now that Ayana was with him, he wished if they could stay a bit longer. The view was magnificent as they could see the ocean and that beach were the party took place last evening, from a height.

"Thanks! I make sure to provide full service regularly." She smiled with her eyes still focused on the road. She had to be extra careful since they were driving down a hill.

She was once again trying to figure out the layout of that other side of beach where the resort was because it felt as if the whole area belonged to that owner. The nature had designed those small green hills so beautiful that it's cresent moon shape isolated the whole place from outer world.

The resort was actually at some height above sea level and had many different seperate huts for different facilities such as spa, open bath, cafeteria, and all those stuffs which people would enjoy at their location. Ayana didn't got to explore more as she sticked to her path for the exit, but deep inside her heart, she secretly wished if she could once again come here.

Knocking herself back to the present, she was easily riding down the curvy path since it was wide enough. She took a quick peek at Eric's calm expression and wondered why did he had that gentle smile.

She didn't planned to give him a ride at the beginning, but when she drove over a few metres and noticed Eric was still standing in this scorching heat, she decided to help. It was the least she could do to repay off the debt from previous night.
