Victim's gameplay

"Wha..what are you trying to get at?" Ayana stuttered as she speaks looking straight into his impenetrable dark eyes.

There was absolute silence in the room which echoed with the same sound of crashing waves and long white curtains fluttering from wind. The atmosphere had suddenly gotten so chill, that it made an instant shiver ran down her spine.

She didn't knew why but this eerie calmness was raising goosebumps on her skin. Eric still had that radiant grin spread across his face from earlier, but why did it felt so alarming to her? Her blood was unexpectedly racing in the vessels and her back was starting to feel sweaty just by looking at his lips curved.

'This is so strange?! Why am I getting chills all of a sudden?! Since when did his aura got so strong?! Earlier I felt so much at ease from his soft presence, that it even made me forget my problems at that moment, but how come I am feeling so disconcerted now?!' she was really puzzled at this moment.

Just who was he truly?! Is he that same soft young man from that evening when they ate tacos, or is he someone dangerous which she should've never crossed paths with. Unfortunately, Ayana couldn't conclude anything yet.

'I'll have to wait and judge properly now that I am finally entangled with this man.' She prepared herself instinctively as she waited for his response.

His smile finally faded away upon seeing Ayana's reaction and declared to enact his next plan. He raised his brows and slightly leaned forward to examine her face.

"Are you okay? You suddenly look so pale. Maybe I should've called the room service earlier. I think you need to take some rest today, you are sweating really heavy." He exclaimed but Ayana didn't respond.

"Just..just answer my question properly. What exactly did you meant earlier when you said we shared physical contact?" The seriousness of this concern clearly displayed on her face.

But despite all of this, Eric didn't fudged one bit from his act. He continued as he maintained that gentle smirk over his face and said. "Oh that?! I was talking about the cuddle you gave me this morning."

"Really? Is that the only time we shared such physical contact? Please don't hide anything from me." She said somewhat desperately while holding her embarrassment.

"Well, there was one time but I am sorry I can't tell you that."

"What?! Why?!!!" She shouted loudly at him from shock but the same gentle smile shut her mouth immediately. The answer was clear.

'Give one, take one.' He was now openly offering her again to sign that deal with him. 'How shameless!' She wondered.

"Don't even think I would get scared from your petty threats. Try blackmailing me and I'll call the police at once." She claimed boldly with her fists clenched tight.

She was very angry at the moment and was almost sure he had a twisted personality until once again Eric proved her wrong with his opposite response.

"Blackmailing?! No! Why would you think of something like that?! Honestly, why is it that you always look at me with such suspicious eyes? Last night a rapist and now a blackmailer?! Do I really look that bad of a guy to you?" He played his victim card.

He knew right from that evening that Ayana had a soft spot for weak guys. Not only did her dominant character allowed her to accept timid personalities more easily but she also had a thing for warm hearted boys than cold sexy ones.

It was quite unfortunate since he was one of them, but to become her friend, he had to wear this makeup of timidity and harmlessness. And just as he had expected his plans worked. Ayana was taken aback with a very perplexed look on her face. He had succeeded in developing an interest for him in her mind.

He knew if he tried to threaten her, things would've gotten even worse.

At first, he was quite shocked at himself upon how he managed to figure out so much since he lacked knowledge when it came to human bondings, but maybe it was thanks to his buisness experience with clients and quick-witted mind that he managed to improvise somehow.

"I really don't know why you always think of me like that, but please look at the real me for once." He wasn't lying when he said that but still it was embarrassing to say such things out loud because of his personality.

"Please stop saying such horrible things about yourself! I never once thought of you like that! It's simply that I feel quite insecure when it comes to opposite gender. I have my own personal reasons you see." She sounded exhausted from her words but he still had to push her slightly more in order to make his plan work.

He was sorry for doing that on purpose, but if things continued the way it is now, not only would he lose her forever, but he'll also get married in no time and end up as pawn in his father's game.

'I am sorry Ms. Shekar, but I need to do this for the benefit of both of us' he muttered within as he pretended to look moved from Ayana's words.
