The questioning was interrupted, and Oswald gave an impatient "tsk" before saying, "Come in."
Several female attendants filed in with food, and thoughtfully brought a low table that could be placed on the bed.
Oswald signaled the attendants to arrange the food and then turned to Kevin with a serious expression. "If you dare to spill even a single crumb of food on my bed, you will be made to strip the bed and wash it yourself."
Kevin paused, his hand still holding the spoon. "Is this your bed?"
Oswald's eyes narrowed. "Otherwise?"
"Where did you sleep after I lay in bed for three days and three nights?" Kevin asked, puzzled.
"On the couch," Oswald said gruffly. "Now, eat your food."
Kevin did as he was told, and as he ate, they discussed the situation in the northwest. Oswald was concerned that the North Emerald Country might take advantage of Mankao's death and Sapir's illness to launch an attack. He also expressed his suspicions about the sand ghosts.
"They're not the kind of creatures who would help us out of the goodness of their hearts," he said. "They must have something up their sleeves."
Kevin agreed. "The rainy season is coming, and their movements will be restricted. I wonder what they'll do next."
After eating, Kevin thanked Oswald for his hospitality returning the big bed to Oswald who hadn't had much rest.
Kevin decided to return to the Bronze Army barracks. The barracks were somewhat deserted, as many of the soldiers had already gone on vacation.
Kevin learned from Oswald that Mi Ao had returned to the border of the desert with a 10,000-strong guard and that the Red Iron Army had also been dispatched to the area of the Kale River to monitor the movements of the North Emerald Country.
The Red Iron Army, one of the three legions, was dispatched to the Kale River area by Oswald's order. They were tasked with closely monitoring the movements of the Northern Emerald Country.
Kevin's return caused a great deal of commotion. Although the three major legions had changed their personnel over the years, the reputation of "the youngest and most victorious legion commander" back then was so well-known that it was impossible to be forgotten so quickly.
Of course, he could not publicly perform suicide by cutting his wrists, nor could he advertise that he was a unique cheat. With Oswald's acquiescence and supplementation, he brought out the nonsense that he had used to fool Mi Ao earlier, trimmed and perfected it, and quickly convinced everyone other than Oswald.
Even Ben, who had dug him out of the ground with his own hands, was almost brainwashed successfully.
"So, you still don't know who rescued you from the coffin and moved you to Andorha?" Ben asked Kevin while drawing his bow and aiming at the bull's eye.
"Yes, I don't know," Kevin replied, sympathetic to the genetic stupidity of the giant orc race. He then slapped Ben's wrist and said, "Go to the left, today is the southwest wind."
Ben groaned, "Don't tell me about such complicated things as southeast, north, south, and north, or my brain will explode! I've been holding this posture for the whole morning, when can I shoot arrows? Huh? Can't you adults be a little considerate? How about after a while? My hand is going to be broken!"
Kevin ignored his howling and turned to correct Angel's movements.
Angel was the white rabbit boy who had pretended to be an Eldar. He had originally planned to leave Wujin Suspended Palace and go to the town of St. Antis to settle down, as per the original agreement. However, on the morning of his departure, he had run into Oswald's young niece.
Her Highness Sinia, who had just turned four years old, had taken one look at Angel and grabbed his clothes, asking him to pretend to be a ghost. They had a great time playing hide-and-seek, and afterward, Sinia refused to let Angel go.
Although Oswald was not very happy, he could not stand Sinia holding his thigh and crying, so he had to ask Angel to carefully check his life history and then feel frustrated to let him stay.
