Avic had won. The water-made monsters had been frozen with a single stab of his ice-made daggers. Delilah looked over at him in shock. She could hardly believe how good Avic was despite his lazy attitude.

Most of all, he had saved her life quite a few times now. She would have been dead without a doubt if Avic wasn't with her.

"Hey, you did it! You actually beat them!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah, no thanks to you. I've used up so much energy, I could collapse. And I don't just mean physical stamina. I mean I've used up so much Hemo Energy, just standing is a chore right now."

"Honestly, I'm surprised you were able to freeze this much water. Your Hemo Energy reserves are off the charts! I'm sure that most people would have collapsed after doing that much."

"Maybe... Well, let's not hang around here for too long. We still need to beat the other students."

Slowly, Avic then approached the pedestal. He needed to collect the orb. Fortunately, after defeating the water-made monsters, the veil surrounding the orb disappeared. This meant that the only thing left for them to do was to collect the orb and leave the room.

"Do you know what that orb is for?" Questioned Delilah with a strange grin across her lips.

"Nope. But it must be important if those water things were guarding it."

Avic then reached out to pick up the orb. As soon as he was about to pick it up, a sharp pain ran through the middle of his back, right through his stomach.

Avic's eyes broadened and his heart rate increased drastically. Slowly, he looked down to see that he had been impaled by a sword. Blood immediately soaked his uniform red, pitter-pattering to the icy floor below.

"Ahh! That's one idiot down!"

Avic coughed up a pool of blood before falling to his knees. Stifled with pain, he looked up to see Delilah standing over him with a bloodied sword in her hand. A satisfying grin was wiped across her lips and her eyes were filled with the look of a sadistic witch. She was the one who had stabbed him.

"Delilah, you..!"

"Aww! What? Don't tell me you're upset? It's only your fault for trusting me! You let your guard down around someone you don't even know. If that's not stupid then I don't know what is."

"Urgh... Why would you do that..? I... I was helping you, weren't I?"

"True. But that's the exact reason I decided to do this. You see Avic, the truth is, I'm not as weak as I said I was. That was only an act to bewitch that kind heart of yours. Just like you, I could have defeated those monsters if I placed enough effort into it. I just rather to have others do the heavy lifting for me so that I can conserve my energy for more serious affairs. But you're also quite strong yourself which makes you a threat to me."

"But I don't get it... We're on the same team... *cough* How does betraying me benefit you..?"

"Hmph. You really haven't realized, haven't you? Instructor Hudson said that only 150 of us from a total of 250 students will proceed to the next round. Sure we could team up for now and beat this dungeon together, but what happens in the next round? There's no guarantee that we will end up being on the same team for the next round. So it's best to use you for your strength now and then eliminate you before you become a threat later on."

"Urgh... You bitch..!"

Delilah then wrapped her fingers around the blue orb and picked it up. She rose it above her head, admiring its beautiful color.

"So beautiful. Mhmm... I'm willing to bet that this orb here is the key to finding a way out of this place. I'll be taking it now."

Just then, the walls opened up on the other side of the room, revealing another pathway. It seemed to lead to an exit not too far away.

Carefully, Delilah then stooped by Avic's side and looked into his eyes with her sadistic grin.

"Well, would you look at that? It seems I was right after all. It seems this pathway leads to an exit. Mmmmm... My dear, Avic. I enjoyed my time with you so much. So sad I could only use you this one time. I'd love to use your body one more time to do my bidding but sadly, this was a only a one night stand."

"You won't get away with this, Delilah! I swear I'll make you regret this..!"

Avic hissed with blood painting his teeth red. He tried to force his body to move but his injury was far too severe. If he hoped to move anytime soon then he needed to find a way to take care of his injury first.

Just then, the room began trembling like an earthquake. It was similar to the trembling they had felt when they were in the classroom. Bit by bit, pieces of sandstone and dust began crumbling. They fell from the walls and ceiling, quickly shattering the icy floor to pieces.

"It seems that this place is about to come crashing down on you, Avic. Before I leave you to die, I'll give you one last parting gift."

Delilah then grabbed onto Avic's cheeks before slowly entangling her lips with his for a bloodied kiss. Avic looked up at her in shock. He simply couldn't understand her.

"Ahh!" She moaned as she used her tongue to lick Avic's blood from her lips. "Goodbye now, my dear sweet, Avic. At least the last thing you'll see before you die will be me. That's a good way to die now, don't you think?"

Delilah then picked herself up and began walking toward the exit of the room. Avic did his best to crawl across the icy floor, trying to reach her. He left a trail of blood behind like a snail as he desperately reached out his hand. However, the more he struggled, the further Delilah got.

"Delilah! You bitch!! You won't get away with this!!"

With a final boom, the ceiling collapsed.
