69 Knock, Knock on His Door

Pushed against the wall, Jakub groaned, letting the air out of his lungs. It didn't hurt, what not, it was shock and excitement that shook his body, not the actual impact or pain.

“No, not here...” he asked desperately, but his words were lost in Różycki's hungry mouth.

Jakub Wolak did not know whether the director did not hear him, did not understand, or simply ignored him, because Różycki's hand was already reaching for the waistband of his pants.

The young actor looked around. Here, in some side alley, a small street somewhere behind the apartment buildings, no one should see them. Even if someone did spot them, in the falling dusk, where no streetlights reached, no one should recognize them. Yes, they shouldn't, but if someone sees them, if someone recognizes them?

Jakub was shaken by a thrill of simultaneous fear and excitement. He was afraid of being recognized and of the scandal that would ruin his life, but he also felt something extremely pleasant at the thought of this danger.

Even more pleasurable was the fact that Różycki could not resist the temptation that Jakub's body was to him. Ah, to be so sexy, so beautiful that even an established director would go crazy over it! Could Jakub complain at all?

He couldn't, and although he was afraid of being discovered and scandalized, he reached his hand to his lover's crotch himself.

Excitement slowly flooded his body when suddenly something vibrated in his pocket. Although the vibration might have stimulated him even more, its insistence suggested that someone was calling about a very important matter.

“Wait," Wolak groaned and pushed Różycki slightly away. “It might be important...”

“More important than me?” the director pulled Jakub towards him again, possessively.

But the actor managed to see who was calling him.

“Stop it! This is really important!”

Wolak turned away from the irritated Różycki and answered the call from a girl who, being his ardent fan, helped him on the set to collect compromising materials about Brylski.

The girl had his number, but she was not allowed to call unless the matter was deadly serious. Treating his words as the verdict of a true God, Kaśka never dared to contradict them. If she called now, it had to be serious.

“What is going on?” he asked picking up the phone.

“I'm sorry, but... but...”

“What? Just spit it out!” He urged irritably, although he did not raise his voice.

“We didn't manage to get that information on Brylski...”

“WHAT?!!”

Immediately after this outcry Jakub decided that he shouldn't have gotten so carried away, not in front of Różycki, who was now showing excessive interest in his phone conversation. Damn!

Wolak turned around, covered his mouth with his hand and asked, lowering his voice.

“How is that possible?”

“The seller backed out of the deal...”

Fury began to flood Jakub, so much so that he could hardly control himself. His beautiful, wonderful plan to destroy Brylski and take over his role without Różycki's involvement had come to nothing. And now, when they shot so much material with Jakub, there will be a greater probability that even if Brylski is fired, someone else will replace him. It was the last chance.

“You don't have anything? Anything...?”

“We can craft something...”

“Do it, damn it! Tomorrow, Monday at the latest, the internet should be buzzing with rumors!”

“Yeah, but...”

“But what? I don't want to hear any excuses. No excuses. Do you understand?”

“Yes, of course. I'm sorry...”

Wolak hung up before her apology rang out. Angry, disappointed, helpless...

He should be the one to get the lead role. He had the education, the looks, the skills and potential and... the body and heart of Różycki. He should be the star of this show. The second part is definitely not enough for him.

Jakub turned to the director. This time he pushed him against the wall and, without saying a word, got down on his knees in front of him so that he could have...

Różycki would do anything he could for him. Not for free, of course, but Jakub will give him an encouraging bonus tonight...

Anita concluded that she must have seen wrong. After all, it was impossible for director Różycki and Jakub Wolak to be close enough to hold hands and... Janiszek didn't even want to imagine what else.

Anita hated Różycki for his attitude towards Rafał, while Wolak was completely indifferent to her. Maybe he didn't relate to Rafal very warmly, but he didn't relate to him badly either. They were just colleagues who did not go for a beer together.

In fact, today was the first time Brylski went to some pub with someone from the set. Anita should be happy. She should be, but... she couldn't stop being jealous. She couldn't help feeling that with every new "friend": that Rafal gains, she loses him piece by piece. Things that he used to discuss with her, he was now sharing with other people. Like Damian Radosz.

It was of course a good thing, even a very good thing, that her always lonely friend was making some kind of connection with others, but Rafal craved the closeness of another person so much that he could unwittingly expose some weakness to them and thus be hurt, as Tomek had done to him.

Today's problem with Tomek seemed to have been resolved and Anita was proud of how bravely Rafał had handled it. She hadn't expected this quiet and naive man to find so much courage and strength in himself. Maybe she actually underestimated him, maybe she didn't even let him develop his true potential, she wanted to protect him so much? Or maybe it was this film set that taught Rafał to fight?

In any case, Tomek should not trouble them anymore. Whether he believed in Rafal's affair with Anita or Marzena, both or neither, he had no proof to back up his claims, and the two women claimed to be intimate with Rafal. If Tomek sells gossip to someone unsupported by evidence, he will jeopardize the reputation of such a gossip magazine. Not that the reputation of such a rag was high, but newspapers were increasingly afraid of libel suits.

Yes, Tomek's case should be closed by now, thank goodness. But that's just the beginning of the trouble, because when that other person shows up...

Anita looked back towards the pizza place. She sighed loudly, feeling her heart begin to fill with tears.

Rafał had never done anything wrong in his whole life. Why did fate pick on him and make him suffer so terribly? Was there no justice in the world?

At that moment Anita discovered another new emotion or thought. She came to the conclusion that she wanted Marzena to seduce Rafał, to drag him to bed and be intimate with him. Anita hasn't been able to do that, but if another woman does, Janiszek will just swallow the pain. Anita will swallow anything as long as Rafał can finally live like a normal person.

The Sunday was lazy and with a day off from work, Rafal's body was able to rest, but his heart still struggled with all sorts of doubts about his sexuality. Rafał had failed the test of a woman and had no desire to try a man. His heart and body longed, however... for Damian.

Shooting at this location was about to come to an end. The rest would be shot in a studio in another city, so the whole crew would move. But Rafał will always have the memories of his beautiful first time with Damian.

Or the last one?

The evening had already begun to cover the sky and the earth with a curtain of darkness and Brylski was sitting in his room staring at the branches of the trees around the hotel. The wind moved them gently giving a pleasant feeling of coolness. The curtain in the window moved gently and Brylski felt the gentle caress of the wind on his body.

He would have given a lot for it to be a different kind of caress...

Someone knocked quietly on the door and Rafał lazily turned his head towards it. It was probably Anita, who had been behaving a little strangely towards him since the incident with Tomek. She probably regretted that she had kissed Rafał at all then. He himself also regretted it, because he felt as if he had taken something precious from her. Something he would never be able to return.

Brylski stood up and slowly walked to the door. When the knock sounded a second time, he pressed the handle and saw... Damian.
