Chapter Three

When I wake up I get a massive headache from all the memories. Instead of paying attention to my surroundings I decide to go through the memories. I ended up falling asleep, but it helps me concentrate.

When I am done going through them, I am already on the doorstep of 4 Privet Drive in a basket. It takes me a few minutes to think of a survival plan but I think it is going to work.

First I am going to change my gender to a girl, then make a note so it looks like I am just a child from a rich family that needed a male. It does not sound real but I think they would believe it. I also heard Aunt Petunia always wanted a girl. It is probably the best way to not get hurt.

I tap into my soul and use some of my magic to turn into a girl. I do my best with the note but it is hard. To get the paper and pen I use my magic. I also use my magic to hold the pen and make the words as neat as I can.

It reads 'Dear family of 4 Privet Drive, I am sorry to say but we took the other child that was here. I am from a famous, powerful, and genius family but I am sorry to say that I needed a male heir. I noticed someone drop off a child here and could not help but switch children. I will contact you when she turns eleven as she needs to go to a special school. Her name is Lilly Gagne but I would like you to call her Lilly Harry Gagne-Potter after the other child. Her birthday is July 31. I expect her to be healthy, happy, and well educated. Once she hits eleven I will pay for your services greatly.'

I think it is a nice and detailed letter and that Aunt Petunia would not let any danger fall on me. It states that I am from a famous family, which I am. If I am treated well I will pay them greatly but if I am not then something is coming for them.

I decide to put the letter under Dumbledore's and put them both on top of me. I fell asleep quickly as all the magic used took energy to control. My body has lots of magic, too much, that it will be hard to control so, I need to meditate to control it.

Petunia's POV

I wake up as I hear the doorbell ring. It is four in the morning so why would someone be up. I get out of bed quickly but quietly as I do not want to wake my husband up. I put on a night robe and went to the door.

When I open the door there is no one there. As I was about to close the door I heard a quiet peep. I look around but don't see anything. When I went to close the door again I looked slightly down and saw a basket with a baby in it.

I bring the basket in and close the door. The baby is asleep so I just look at the letter. Oh, there are two.

What? So Lily died and left me with her child but I got a girl. Well at least I don't have to look after him. There probably is nothing wrong with the child but it will just be a reminder of her. Well let's read the other letter to figure out who she is.

So all we have to do is raise her well and we will get a bunch of money. If she is a genius then it might be easy to raise her. I have always wanted to have a girl anyway. But if I am right with the schooling then she is a wizard.

I will put her with Dudley to sleep. When my husband wakes up I will talk to him. I'm going to go back to bed and figure this out later.

A While Later

The alarm goes for 6:30 waking me up. I get dressed then go down stairs to make breakfast. When I am finished I go to set the table to find a basket on it. I remember that I have to talk to my husband.

Vernon, my dear husband came down the stairs and I smiled at him. Then I decided to say, "Vernon, dear after you eat we have to talk about something important."

He replied with a, "Yes, Love," before he went to the table and started eating.

I go and check on the children. Dudley, my dear son is still asleep but the other one is awake. She is just looking around and it sounds like she's trying to speak.

I decided to talk to her even though she won't understand, "Dearly, your name is Lilly Harry Gagne-Potter but I will just call you Harry. I dislike the name Lilly so you might have to deal with both. You are probably going to live here anyway."

When I hear footsteps going up the stairs I go to meet my husband. I bring him down stairs and give him the second letter.

After he finishes reading I start speaking "The child that got taken was my sister's. This will be a good thing to do. It will give us funds later on and a good connection. What do you say?"

I look at him while he processes the information. I decided that I won't tell him about my suspicion until proven or until she is eleven. His face changes. I think it is at the thought of money. "Love I think is amazing." He says finally. I nod my head as I go to grab a pen and pad to make a shopping list.

Well if all wizards are the same she is going to be very smart I should probably grab some learning things or whatever. I will need to pick up clothes and female baby supplies. I also have to pick up something for Dudley. After she got everything ready for shopping she left.
