The Camp-II

The district training camp was basically a relaxing summer vacation for Meng Tian. So, he stopped leveling up any and all of his Stats for the time being. It was a detox from the crazy things that had happened over the first four days of his life in this world. Now that his cloning technique became one of his trump cards, he had gone back to the basics and just enjoyed the time killing beasts and collecting the Saccharine Lilac Lilies.

There was not a speck of doubt that his team would be the greatest beneficiaries of the training camp, especially the current task. Meng Tian also got to understand that the geographical area of this world was actually many times larger than his previous world. As his clones were travelling around the world, he got to see and familiarize himself with this world which had larger distances for him to cover. Although he did not know where the camp site was, the Shadow of the devil skill enabled him to pin point where his parents where, leading him to the exact location of his school area. And boy... the distance was huge. He wondered how they were able to even cover such large distances with all these wild beasts and strange flora in the journey.

During this week, one of his clones had gone deep into the forest area without having any clue as o where he was headed. The clone just kept on moving in a single direction to see what he could find. Although he encountered a lot of beasts than normal, none of them came near the clone due to the powerful spiritual sense being radiated from him. After travelling for a few days, the clone had come across quite a few precious herbs and without stopping, he foraged them and kept them inside the consciousness space. As the clone's consciousness was connected to the main body, the consciousness space acted as a bridge between them for sending and receiving all kinds of things using this space. It was like an all purpose transportation station all to himself. So, Meng Tian's main body had been relaxing all this while with his team exploring the forest area near his camp, all the while receiving precious herbs which could be of use for him in the future.

As this process was going on, the last clone which had the task of going to the oceans to explore that part of the world had come across a lot of people patrolling the borders of the land, because of which the third clone could not directly fly into the ocean. So, it used the transmogrification skill to turn itself into a small leaf and float into the sky. The airspace was completely under the control of a spiritual sense that patrolled the area, which Meng Tian believed to be the spiritual sense of a Martial General. Fortunately, the third clone could not make any sudden movements being very careful not to control its movement at all. All he had to do was follow the winds and see where they could take him.

After about half a day of gliding in the air, the third clone now disguised as a leaf arrived near the coast. What happened next was worthy of notice as the leaf was blown away by the wind again towards the land. The third clone could not risk being targeted by the super powers of this world, so he just followed with the flow of the wind and this went on for another half a day when the leaf finally dropped onto the surface of the ocean.

Nobody noticed anything odd about what had happened here. As he landed on the surface of the water, it slowly started sinking to the bottom. For good measure, Meng Tian kept his leaf form for a very long time... he basically had no other things to do anyway, so he was not in a hurry to explore the oceans. He was very cautious and only when he was sure that nothing out of the ordinary was happening for about a day, he made a quick switch with one of the leaves inside his consciousness space and he covertly buried himself into the sand below.

So, the only thing left there was a leaf and Meng Tian was out of sight. He had now turned himself into a small crab that could burrow itself into the sand near the coastline. He leisurely kept moving deep into the ocean as a crab and wondered how large the oceans were. Meng Tian was slowly moving when a gigantic fish just scooped a bunch of soil and swallowed him whole. With his powerful spiritual sense there was no way that he could allow himself to be put in danger. His plan was to hitch a ride on one of these fishes to see where it could take him.

His body was more than strong enough to keep the fish from digesting him. He was laid back for some time as he got to observe the ocean world from within the confines of the stomach of a small fish in the large ocean. To his surprise, the fish that swallowed him had been swallowed by another fish much larger than itself. Meng Tian took this chance to come out of the body of the original fish that swallowed him. He had already been in the ocean for about two days now and he got bored very fast. So, he just transformed into his human form again and ripped the insides of the fish that he was currently in blasting a hole out of it.

When Meng Tian punched his way out of the fish, he felt an urge that was telling him to absorb the qi and blood from the dying fish. As he had an inkling of what was happening, he had no reason to stop himself from doing so. With his decision, the runes on his chest began to release a special devouring force that absorbed all the qi and blood of this fish and only a dried up body was left out. Meng Tian could feel his body becoming stronger by the second, but the increase in strength was very minimal.

"Hmm... Amazing... This feeling is very addictive. I should learn to control myself a lot more in the future. Otherwise, killing could become my only nature."

Just as he was contemplating his journey in the ocean, he heard a series of prompts showing up in his vision. This was his status screen for this clone body. The system had always been the most reliable tool in his arsenal. Now that his clones have been dispersed to do their tasks, it was very reassuring that he could still access his system which was bound to his soul.

[Kill Points +1]

[Blood Carnage Clone #3: All Primary Stats +1]

The blood carnage clone cannot cultivate qi as there is no dantian inside it. This was due to the skill itself being an upgraded version of the blood clone which was only supposed to be controlled by a string of spiritual sense of the main body. This kind of autonomous activity out of the range of the spiritual sense of the main body was not at all possible before. So, the current clones had no possibility of cultivating qi inside their dantians. However, the runes on their chests could make up for their power as the continuous absorption of qi and blood from the targets can increase the primary stats of the clone body keeping it on par with the power level of the qi cultivators at any given stage. The clones could also use the skills of the main body in this state where the runic inscriptions on their chests act as pseudo dantians where the qi cannot be stored but can be processed from the surroundings to be used by the body for performing any desired skill.

It was amazing how the addition of kill points could bring such drastic transformation to the skills that were already pretty good. Now that Meng Tian's clone was inside the ocean, he transformed his neck to have gills like any other fish for breathing. His body was already at the level of a Core Formation cultivator, so the pressure inside the ocean had no effect on him yet. Meng Tian was interested to uncover the secrets of this underwater world which had long since become inaccessible to the general public.

As he started moving to the depths of the ocean, he had come across a lot of marine organisms which were just like the ones from his previous life but way larger in scale. He could also feel the qi fluctuations from many of them, making it pretty evident on how much higher the power of the ocean creatures was when compared to the human race on land.

"No wonder the oceans have now become a no-go zone for us. I wonder if they have mermaids and such. Oh, maybe there is even an underwater city like Atlantis and such... Or maybe I can find out more secrets about how qi cultivation had developed within such a short time frame in this world... Many relics buried from the past eras could probably shed some light on this..."

Meng Tian was very enthusiastic about finding out more about this world. However, on the contrary, no one had a clue that a powerful force had just stepped into one of the dangerous domains of this world and god knows what would happen to the oceans in the near future.
